This is the message I'm trying to convey to my family and friends.
We, the canola and pea farmers are suffering financial losses, to the benefit of other Canadian industries, without any compensation or acknowledgement. It's all the more galling when our cries fall on deaf ears.
"Canada is more geopolitically isolated today than at any point in recent memory. Our agri-food sector is being used as collateral in unrelated industrial policy fights. Unless Ottawa recalibrates its trade strategy, Canadian farmers will keep paying the price for political decisions made far from their fields."
