RIGHT It’s crazy to me how so many people are taking the Mexican dude’s side while attacking this Black man for simply trying to get the money he was owed. The comments are full of people saying, “He didn’t speak English” or “He was scared for his life,” but come on now. That man knew exactly what he was doing. He knew he was supposed to pay and still tried to get out of it.
What really stands out is how many racist comments are under that post. It proves exactly what I’m saying. A lot of MFKAS would rather defend a Mexican man who was clearly in the wrong than a gay Black man who’s just trying to survive and get paid for his work.
And if you’re Black and in the comments defending the dude who refused to pay, that says a lot. Some of y’all are quicker to side with other people than your own community, even when the situation is obvious.
The Mexican dude knew from the start that he was expected to pay. Then when it came time to do it, he acted confused and pretended not to understand. Whether the worker should have gotten paid upfront is a separate conversation. Sure, he could have handled it differently. But that doesn’t change the fact that the person who received the service and refused to pay was wrong.
Instead of acknowledging that, people are putting all the blame on the gay Black man because he does sex work and because he’s Black. That’s the part a lot of MFKS don’t want to talk about.
