@rosethornne@JewWhoHasItAll No, they use some sort of spell or chant or something. It calls forth the spirit of the zombie rather than the real zombie. It's very hard to travel to visit all the different groups in one Sunday, after all.
@Matt93452 @WholesomeMeme From a quick google, the heart cat is real, and I found other photos of it. The skull cat, while a real cat, has been edited. It really has a white marking there, but with no eyes/nose/teeth spots! Also super easy to find both via Google, if you want to see them yourself.
@amish_but @cermak_rd@LegendOfRachel_ @TelegraphLife @RosaSilverman Do you have an actual source for this, or is that just assumption/anecdotal evidence? Because plenty of people with families, or even with just children, still die to suicide.
@amish_but @cermak_rd@LegendOfRachel_ @TelegraphLife @RosaSilverman When people are already prone to that sort of thing, any sort of additional strain tends to make it a lot worse. So it's more like being depressed + strain of children can have some pretty bad side effects. Especially in the first few years, and the lack of sleep is really hard.
@amish_but @cermak_rd@LegendOfRachel_ @TelegraphLife @RosaSilverman Okay, then it's also trivial nonsense if I traumatize my children or leave them without a mother because of my poor mental health, because the strain of having children was too much. Having children when you aren't mentally okay can drive people to murder and suicide.
@amish_but @cermak_rd@LegendOfRachel_ @TelegraphLife @RosaSilverman If you're trying to say you're wise and know better because you think having babies is more important than a pre-existing life, or having a stable life before having babies, then you're very wrong. Everyone's life is different, and the right choice for one won't apply to all.
@belle4beau@Ragcha @TelegraphLife @RosaSilverman "Why have kids at all then??"
Yeah. Exactly. Not everybody can afford the time and energy to raise kids when they also need to be at a job, sometimes at bad hours, to get the money they need for basic food and rent. This is why fewer people are having kids.
@belle4beau@nihkohl @TelegraphLife @RosaSilverman Some people don't have a choice. Sometimes their job(s) are so demanding they literally can't be there for them, because this is the only way to make ends meet. Or maybe they're a single parent with no one to lean on. Or both. Maybe they shouldn't be having kids then? Hm.
@amish_but @cermak_rd@LegendOfRachel_ @TelegraphLife @RosaSilverman Is that seriously all you think any woman with a job does? We do all the same things men do. I, for one, am aspiring to be a writer and artist, and make comics and video games. That takes a lot of time and energy.
And "self-knowledge", like how to deal with my crippling anxiety.
@pippiminafowell Me, too. Autism seems to be one of the most misunderstood disorders, largely because it's both very wide, and pop culture examples tend to only draw from the most extreme edges (and make it into very bad caricatures). D:
@pippiminafowell I actually didn't know a lot of these bits, so I'm glad I happened to see this. There's a lot of useful information in here that more of the world needs to see.
@Ok_Cryptid@WCTravelOrg@AmericanAir It's a song about how United Airlines was a jerk who carelessly mishandles luggage and refused to care if it gets broken. So it's basically saying yeah, airlines can be jerks sometimes.
@MatthewToad42 @quillandink_twt@MarrowEscape a category it can be. So I guess my point was... it has seemed more akin to dyslexia, in my experience, as opposed to 100% unable to do a specific thing. Just sometimes takes more time/energy/help. Which is also not to say I'm right. More, that's what I was thinking at the time.
@MatthewToad42 @quillandink_twt@MarrowEscape As opposed to like, dyslexia, where they are at a disadvantage at reading/math/etc, but with enough effort, they can still improve. Sometimes even mask it entirely. Which has generally been my understanding of most ND, but I also did forget a little how broad 2/
@isntJen This is extremely relatable. I was fortunate to never really want a relationship when I was younger, but it didn't stop me from running into people who tried to take advantage of me. It usually resulted in me overspending my energy, and then I'd just withdraw from everything.
@Magnetic_Starrs @isntJen I've never been in a position to have much to give, but I've known people who thought that was their only value. It sucks. D:
I try so hard to convince them they're worth more than what they can pay. And I often turn them down when they offer things. Even if I want the things.
