If he's pushing another child and repeatedly trying to leave the room and hasn't responded to the methods the camp is permitted to use to correct it, then they should reach out. Those are issues that the parents need to work on correcting at home also.
For the not sitting still or standing in line, well isn't that why you have him in summer camp to learn some of these things?
In my town, the quiet hours are 10pm to 7am, 7 days a week....
I do wish it would be 8 or 9am like some other towns/municipalities near me on the weekend, but I don't know of a single one that goes past 9am in my state even on the weekends. So waiting until 10am to start was very polite of your neighbor...
If the business owner wants to run on bare minimum staffing to where one person out is a severe inconvenience, then that is the business owner's decision and THEY need to deal with it. But unless the person is calling out multiple random times a month on a regular basis or for a week+ at a time, it doesn't make sense for a doctor's note.
I had perfect attendance for 3 years and then one year I got hit with a nasty flu probably brought in by the person in the cubicle next to me because they were out of PTO time and came in hacking and coughing with a fever. It was the height of flu season. 4 days later, I wake up with a fever of 105 degrees on a Sunday. I left a voicemail for my boss that afternoon and said I wouldn't be in on Monday and I'd be out at least 3 days, maybe 5 depending on when my fever broke and was gone 24 hours. I got a response that I needed a doctor's excuse and if I exceeded 5 days, I'd need to apply for FMLA. My doctor's office told me to take an at home flu test b4 they'd see me and if it was positive that I didn't need an appointment unless I had more serious symptoms I sent a screenshot of the exchange to my boss who said I needed a note because I could have been faking the conversation on MyChart... I then said I'd drive to the office and let my boss take my temperature since it was still 103 degrees on Tuesday with Tylenol and Advil. And she was mortified, said I shouldn't come in and spread the flu........
Instead of dealing with problem people who have definite patterns, employers want to skip having a real HR team who can handle them and push it to policies that make no sense.
@M_and_ela@muheediva01 Babies blood types do not change unless they've had a transfusion and in the US and many parts of the world, the baby is blood typed at birth, they just usually don't tell the parents what it is unless there is a medical concern for either the mother or baby related to it.
The issue isn't the customer service, the issue is the manager and the handling of the opening procedures. When I used to work for a small coffee shop that opened at 5:30am, the two opening staff members had to arrive at 4:45am. We had to have completely brewed our 3 types of drip coffee by 5:20am so when our first customer came through the door we could provide the coffee right away.
It sounds like McDonald's has staff come in right before the opening time and doesn't allow for the full prep required for brewed coffee, heated fryers and cooking services, etc.
Reading the whispers above, the monk didn't respond, so OP followed up then the guy kicked him. I would agree the OP could have not cursed, but outside that, is that a reason to kick someone? Like don't enable chat if you don't want whispers. You can turn it off.
Imagine if I who like to chat with people invited you to my key, you never once respond so I kick you because I prefer playing with people who are social or at least show that they can communicate without being rude.
Why does the engagement ring already have a wedding band??
Also, NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS unless your daughter ASKED for your opinion on the size, etc.
A 'I said yes! Look at this ring, isn't it gorgeous?' or "Want to see my engagement ring" is NOT an invitation for you to critique it.
The only time you should offer an opinion up is when you're clearly being asked for it. "Mom, here's my engagement ring, what do you think?" or a "I'm not sure about my engagement ring, hbu?" Even then, I would find things to praise about it because if she likes it why would you want to rag on it?
If it is comfort items, homework, books, new favorite toys, a new favorite top or something, it makes sense. If they have to pack pajamas, toothbrush/toothpaste, hair brush, clean underwear, etc, there is a problem.
Also if they're in sports, they may have to pack their sports bags. The uniforms are too expensive to have double sets for a season etc. I always ordered an extra practice shirt and then extra socks for my ex to keep at his house, but we both agreed that an extra $500 for Home & Away jerseys/shorts was ridiculously expensive EVERY year.
My ex kept extra socks for each game uniform and also for practice, an extra practice outfit, extra shin guards and etc at his house. Even though when she was younger and I packed it for her. And once she was old enough she was 'responsible' for packing the bag with everything she needed for the weekend, but socks were her kryptonite, she frequently forgot one of them completely or somehow only had one of the two in the bag etc. It didn't help that the home v away uniforms had different sock colors which means she had to pack at minimum 3 pairs of socks each weekend. When she stopped playing for the one travel league and we donated some of her old gear, we had like 8 full pairs of game socks and 5 pairs of practice socks in good condition.
@MikeTGiven@JorCru I don't get to write off part of rent, utility, home insurance, etc...
Work from home tax deductions are only available to self-employed individuals and independent contractors (1099); traditional W-2 employees cannot claim home office expenses.
Yeah, food doesn't magically appear in my fridge. I have to use AC/Heat during the work day when i could turn them to lower usage out of the office. Also, I am forced to have a certain internet speed for work, but don't get reimbursed for it. So basically i provide the desk, space to work, all the charges for things the company would need to pay for when I'm in the office out of MY POCKET. So if I freaking change a load of laundry over after a meeting during my now 10 hour work day, its nunya!
Yeah its incredibly common to have both a tonsillectomy and ear tubes still.
And as someone who grew up in the 80s, there were 3 nut free tables in my elementary school and only about 300 students K-5, each grade has its own lunch time. But they needed 3 tables to accommodate all the kids..
Maybe you just weren't observant.
So everyone should have to pay a toll to get on the road that connects to their property. They should have to pay a toll on each road that they use to get from place to place each time they use it.
The fire department, sanitation services, USPS, delivery services, etc should all pay the same tolls.
Then we should only require that those people who have a fire pay for fire services. But what about the houses next to the house that had the fire? If fire services don't put out the fire it can spread across the neighborhood. So I think that anyone with property adjacent to the property should contribute to the fire costs.
And only those that call 911 or the police should have to pay for police services. No patrols or if they patrol, they need to invoice all the people whose homes, businesses and etc they passed by. Maybe everyone wears an RFID tag so they can charge you when they cruise past you because they maintained your safety.
@CindyYoung456@NordicKari Who doesn't pay property tax?
Only exception I can think of is corporations that get exemptions.
Everyone else pays property tax. Renters pay rent to the landlord that pays property tax.
The overall issue is Blizzard & Microsoft's decision not to adequately staff for ANY type of game updates/changes.
- Lack of QA staff
- Lack of dedicated designers/coders
If they would staff enough people to handle the 'cozy' aspects like Housing, smaller events, etc AND to also handle the content meant to be more challenging then we wouldn't be talking.
But we should know from their lack of PVP Devs & Communication that they aren't going to adequately staff overall, let alone dedicated segments.
@HistorianUSA1 I hated working Sundays even with Tips bc the after church crowds are some of the worst tippers ever. Often they'll leave fake bills with bible verses as a 'tip' instead of money. Gotta love working your butt off for some of the most entitled customers to get zero tips.
A mug of coffee with as little added to it as possible in the morning, water the rest of the day. Sometimes I have green or white tea with little to no sugar/sweetener added in the afternoon.
There is no point in just changing the sugar/empty calories in soda into sugar/empty calories from another drink.
@NotJustLerato The normal range for pooping is 2-3 times a day TO once every 3 days.
Normal range for all humans across all genders, etc.
Sometimes I poo once a day, sometimes I poo once every 3 days. I don't ever worry about it unless I have other signs something is up...
