School districts, for the most part, let’s remember that this isn’t homeschooling, or online school, this is making the best of a bad situation in the middle of a crisis. That should be what drives decisions.
We've asked the Legislature for $39 million for debris removal, reforestation, firefighting equipment & wildfire mitigation for communities in #HurricaneMichael’s path.
And we’ve asked Congress to do their job—almost 6 months later, nothing for the Panhandle, it’s unacceptable.
Never shut the door on students; regardless of what poor choice they make.
There should always be another chance & there should always be room for redemption.
The worst response we can have is to close the door, lock it & throw away the key.
It’s easy to pull weeds, but how often are you planting flowers? It’s easy to complain, but if you don’t have a solution or a plan....you’re just another dissenting voice. #leadership
My son said to me, “Mummy, know why I love 1st grade? My teacher told us there’s no such thing as bad kids, only great kids. Me & my friends are all great & we’re all going to learn. She told us!”
If we want kids to believe they’re great & can learn, let’s tell them!💫#LoveWorks
As we start a new school year, I hope every teacher will take a moment to reimagine what education can and should be for every child. Be magical! Make possibilities a reality! #betherevolution
I’m inspired by teachers. But it is not usually their lessons that I find inspiring. It is their energy… their heart… and their passion, that fire me up. These teachers make the school a better place just by walking in the door.
When teachers and administrators have fun at field day... it makes it more fun for the students. It reinforces the humanity of the educators and strengthens the personal bonds in the school.
