Talented individuals with diverse accomplishments are necessary to support Ontario’s school systems –professional educators need to lead them. We do not support the government’s decision to remove the express requirement that a director of education be an educator. Our statement:
@steve_camacho Congrats on the nomination which is so well earned. The IT dept. of the TCDSB is top notched but always has the student at the centre of decisions which is what makes it so special.
@JRossHolt@Travisdhanraj@fordnation IPads that are LTE enabled for those that do not have wifi at home. Chromebooks going to those that have wifi. At least in the TCDSB
Education Minister Stephen Lecce also had difficulties bargaining with CUPE last year, demonstrating that the current Ford government has been unable to effectively resolve collective bargaining discussions. #onpoli#onted#NoCutsToEducation

We’re striking to have resources for Ss with special needs. We’re striking so that our schools continue to remain safe and healthy and have less violent incidents. If the government makes more cuts to education, our children’s education is at stake and that’s why we’re striking.
As difficult as this action is, it is necessary and so important that we stand up for students. Couldn’t be prouder to be a teacher today. @olftcdsb@TECT951@OECTAProv
