The four My Brother's Keeper Fellows representing Yonkers - Joel Gonzalez @GortonHS , Quilan Wilson (Lincoln High School) , Max Hernandez @DrS_Hattar (Yonkers Middle High School), and Marcus Knight, Jr. (Barack Obama School for Social Justice) @BarackObamaYPS - had a powerful, impactful, and truly transformative experience in Albany last week, taking the stage at the Annual Stand and Deliver: My Brother's Keeper Fellows Leadership Workshop and Speaker Showcase and courageously sharing inspiring stories of how MBK has shaped their lives and futures.

From turning fear into motivation to shifting their mindsets toward endless possibilities, the @yonkersmbk Fellows spoke eloquently about discovering acceptance and purpose through their MBK brotherhood.

Their voices, alongside MBK Chapters across New York State, resonated deeply, inspiring and highlighting the movement's lasting impact on confidence and public speaking.

Tomorrow is a PTSA meeting you won’t want to miss! Join us at 5:30 for an interactive presentation on current adolescent drug and alcohol trends. Parents will have the opportunity to participate in a guided walkthrough of a mock adolescent bedroom and learn what to look for.

Yesterday, the MBK AU students met with Mr. Ray and Ms. Mecurio to reflect and set goals for 2026. They also discussed an upcoming MBK goal centered on building communication and voice projection skills by creating a skit that reflects who they are as individuals.
