Have you seen the movie White Man's Burden? It came out in 1995 starring JohnTravolta. In this movie the white people live like black people and the black people are the ones with wealth and in control. It's quite interesting and I hope they do a remake soon.
Notice the maid?
People are voting for Jim Jordan for speaker. A congressman who’s never authored a bill in his 14+ years in Congress. A man who overlooked the molestation of hundreds of boys in his care. A leading figure in the 2021 insurrection against the American government. Yikes GOP. Yikes.
BREAKING: When Hakeem Jeffries secured 212 votes for speaker today, it was the first time in over 15 years that a Democratic leader won support from every single member of their caucus.
George Santos posts press release on official House website citing having taken the oath & being sworn in today. No members were sworn in today. There is no Speaker of the House. https://t.co/MQhwO5IuvM
Kyrsten Sinema's commentary on Joe Lieberman in 2003: "He's a shame to Democrats. … I don't even know why he's running. He seems to want to get Republicans voting for him — what kind of strategy is that?"
BIG NEWS: Sen. @ossoff's bipartisan bill to secure justice for victims of unsolved lynchings and murders in the Civil Rights era was just signed into law by @POTUS.
Georgia was ground zero for voter suppression. Republicans tried to make it harder for Georgians to vote every stop along the way. They tried to keep Black & young Georgians home. But Georgia still turned out & re-elected Warnock for the FOURTH time in TWO years. Incredible.
A personal thought:
When Pres-elect Biden asked me to become @WHCOS on 11/12/20, we had 48 Dem Senators.
What odds would I have given then, that 2 years later, we’d have 51 Dem Sens??
Congrats to every organizer, volunteer and voter who worked so hard to make this happen.
Congratulations to my friend @ReverendWarnock on his re-election to the U.S. Senate, and a special thank you to Georgia voters and organizers who worked tirelessly to make this victory possible.
