Any update on the progress of repairs for Sandown electricity outage.
We were switched off from 7pm on 31/01/2025.

Many areas are still without electricity due to the resultant damages at Substations, area mini subs, cable theft or cable damages, etc. The problem is not over…huge financial loss to large groups of SA citizens at the start of the year.

Please provide an update on the outage. Residents are disconnected for more than 36 hours, without proper feedback on the problem and restoration plan.

Please provide an update on the Sandown / Strathavon outage. We soon approaching 24hrs, with no update on what’s going on. On Gayre and Westbrooke drive we are either getting supply from Katherine Street Substation or the Marlboro area Substations. Please check.

@Eskom_SA It’s not back in Sandown/Strathavon area.
Please check which local substation feeders have tripped and perhaps inform customers to manually switch off geysers. This can possibly help with the inrush, if you are monitoring the trips after supposed restoration.
