Getting accused of using AI in fics when you haven't is shit, yes. But if your conscience is clear, you will overcome that 🤷🏻‍♀️ Personally, I was never scared of people accusing me bc if they did, I know they're wrong. It would annoy me, sure, but i wouldn't feel guilty

you can't be 100% sure, but you can have a clear enough picture to scroll away or exit the ao3 tab. there is research that humans who have trained themselves can, indeed, tell when something is AI-generated or -assisted.

also, unpopular opinion, but the reality is: detectors only work when authors were sloppy enough to copy directly from claude. we do need to train ourselves to recognise AI tells in written content. names, hallucinations, cadence, voice, sentence structure, etc.
