Hon' ble Mr Prime Minister,

Pained to ask: is this the way how you describe the meritorious students of the esteemed Jadavpur University? Is this your concept of decorum and courtesy? Jadavpur University has been receiving top ranks from your Government’s NIRF ranking framework year after year, and you descend to insult that centre of excellence? You stoop so low?

The students of the Jadavpur University have earned their place through merit and walk out with degrees, with intellect, with the ability to question. That is not anarchy. That is education and that is excellence.

Anarchy is not students raising their voices.
Anarchy is using bulldozers as instruments of power instead of justice.
Anarchy is when farmers die and their voices are crushed.
Anarchy is when those convicted of rape and other heinous crimes walk free for political convenience.
Anarchy is denying the poor their rightful dues.
Anarchy is dividing a nation along religious lines for votes.
Anarchy is refusing to face the press, refusing accountability, refusing questions.
Anarchy is refusing to acknowledge that Manipur is burning but you are busy with elections.

Students protesting do not constitute a breakdown of democracy - it is democracy in motion.

Please do not defame the educational institution which was inspired by our early nationalists including Sri Aurobindo as a pioneer. Please do not defame Bengal.

The soil of Bengal has always been a nurturing ground for harmony, brotherhood, and the conviction that we are stronger together than apart. There is no place here for hatred, division, or the toxic politics of those who profit from both.

The spontaneous presence of people from every community, every caste, every religion, and every background at today's public meetings in Haldia, Barrackpore, Jagatdal, and Jorasanko speaks louder than any speech. They stand with Maa-Mati-Manush. They stand for Swanirbhor Bangla.

This unprecedented turnout has instilled fear in the Bangla-Birodhi Zamindars who have built their entire political existence on division, discrimination, and hatred. Those who seek to undermine democracy, impose dominance, and defile this sacred land will be resisted by the people of Bengal with the full force of their democratic will.

To preserve Bengal's culture, civilisation, and heritage, I appeal to every voter to cast their vote for Smt. Tapasi Mandal from Haldia, Shri Raju Chakrabarty (Raj) from Barrackpore, Shri Somenath Shyam Ichini from Jagatdal, Shri Vijay Upadhyay from Jorasanko, and every single Maa-Mati-Manush candidate across Bengal.

The true driving force of democracy is the unity of ordinary people and their belief in a better future. Let us march forward on this path, with pride, with dignity, and with our heads held high.

Today, I offered my prayers at the revered Madan Mohan Temple in Cooch Behar.

Today, repeated attempts are being made to weaken Bengal. To malign it. To break its spine. To ridicule our language, mock our culture, dictate our food habits, insult our icons and torment our people into submission. They do not know Bengal.

This is a land that has faced every indignity history has thrown at it and emerged, each time, not merely intact, but stronger. The unconquerable spirit of Bengal has outlived every force that sought to diminish it. It will outlive this one too.

What we are witnessing is deeply concerning. There are growing indications of a coordinated attempt to interfere with the democratic rights of the people of Bengal - with the BJP at the centre of it and the ECI seemingly looking the other way.

People deserve to know what is happening to their votes. This isn’t a small issue- It goes to the very heart of free and fair elections.

We are receiving credible reports from several districts that large numbers of Form 6 applications (New Voters) are being submitted in a questionable manner. These are not routine additions. There are serious concerns that many of these entries may be linked to individuals who have no real connection to Bengal—people who don’t live here, don’t work here and have no stake in the state.

The video only adds to these concerns. It appears to show thousands of such forms being processed and stacked, raising valid questions about the scale and intent behind this exercise.

We have seen similar concerns being raised in other states during elections. Bengal cannot be allowed to go down that path.

Take a moment to watch this. Ask questions. Because this is not just about politics- it’s about protecting the integrity of our vote. This is the kind of “PARIBORTON” the BJP seeks to impose on Bengal.

The Election Commission must answer.

SIR's bloody death march across Bengal claims another life.

A typical polling booth has between 1,000 and 1,200 voters. But at Booth No. 153 in Bamangram, Sujapur, Malda, 579 voters, more than half the entire electorate, were placed under adjudication. Naturally, the voters turned to the one person they could find. Their BLO. They came with questions. Desperate questions. Legitimate questions.

But the BLO had no answers to give. Because the system that deployed him gave him a task without rationale, a process without logic, and a workload without mercy. Days without sleep. Exhaustion beyond endurance. And a community's fear and frustration directed at a man who was himself a victim of the same broken, vindictive machinery.

He fell sick. He was rushed to Malda Medical College and Hospital. He did not come back. This is the human cost of BJP's lust for power. This is what @ECISVEEP's blind, slavish obedience to the Delhi Zamindars looks like when it reaches the last mile.

Tomorrow, when @narendramodi addresses his Brigade rally, we want him to carry this with him to that stage. This blood is on your hands, Modi ji. Yours and yours alone.

A few days ago, Amit Shah addressed a rally at Mathurapur, where he presented several data points, most of them misleading, and many of them outright false. I visited Mathurapur today to set the record straight.

Not surprisingly though, the Home Minister's rally had more empty chairs than it had attendees. The "Poriborton Yatra" had not even gathered momentum before the "Bishorjon Yatra" already began. What a fall from grace for those who pride themselves on being the "world's largest party."

This party commands the unquestioning loyalty of Central Investigative Agencies. Central Forces under their thumb. The Godi media amplifies every lie without question. A compliant section of the judiciary is at their disposal. And now, constitutional bodies and offices, the Election Commission, Governors, and even the President's office, are all tilted in their favour. They have everything. Except the one thing that actually matters in a democracy. The trust and support of the people.

And that is something no Bangla-Birodhi Zamindar can coerce, intimidate, bulldoze, or disenfranchise their way into. Today's historic turnout at Mathurapur should rob these Delhi Babus of their sleep. Because this is not even the full film yet. And the writing is already on the wall. Keep your one-way tickets back to Gujarat and Delhi ready.

আন্তর্জাতিক নারী দিবসের শুভক্ষণে সারা বিশ্বের সবাইকে জানাই আমার অনেক শুভনন্দন।

আমি কুর্নিশ জানাই এই বাংলার মাটিকে – এ মাটি প্রীতিলতা ওয়াদ্দেদারের মাটি, এ মাটি মাতঙ্গিনী হাজরার মাটি, এ মাটি কল্পনা দত্ত, বীণা দাশ, সুনীতি চৌধুর��র মাটি, এ মাটি মাদার টেরিজার মাটি।

আন্তর্জাতিক নারী দিবসের এই শুভক্ষণে একটা বিশেষ কাজ আমরা করেছি। 'যুবসাথী' প্রকল্পে টাকা দেবার কথা ছিল আগামী এপ্রিল মাস থেকে। আজকের দিনে যুবসমাজকে সম্মান জানিয়ে গতকাল থেকেই 'যুবসাথী' প্রকল্পের টাকা দেওয়া আমরা শুরু করেছি। গতকাল থেকেই প্রায় ১ কোটি আবেদনকারীর ব্যাঙ্ক একাউন্টে টাকা যাওয়া শুরু হয়ে গেছে। আমি সকলকে জানাই উষ্ণ অভিনন্দন।

আমরা সবসময় চেষ্টা করি এভাবেই সর্বস্তরের, সকল মানুষের পাশে থাকতে। আর অন্যদিকে, কেন্দ্র সরকারের কাজ শুধু মানুষকে হয়রানি করা। গ্যাসের দাম যেভাবে বৃদ্ধি করা হল, তার প্রভাব পড়বে মানুষের হেঁসেলে। আজ তাই বাংলার মেয়েরা প্রতিবাদে পথে নামবে, তাঁদের পরনে থাকবে প্রতিবাদের কালো শাড়ি।

"আমার লক্ষ্মী প্রতিবাদ জানায়, কন্ঠে তার আগুন,
আমার লক্ষ্মী দেশ জয় করে, সবারে বলে – জাগুন।।"

বাংলার প্রতিটি মেয়ে আমাদের গর্ব। সমাজের প্রতিটি স্তরে তাঁদের অবদান অপরিসীম।

তাই শুধুমাত্র বছরের একটি বিশেষ দিন নয়, আমার কাছে প্রতিটা দিনই নারী দিবস।
যে সমাজে মেয়েরা ভালো থাকে না, সেই সমাজ কখনো ভালো থাকতে পারে না।

তাই, জীবনের প্রতিটি ক্ষেত্রে যাতে তাঁরা এগিয়ে যেতে পারে তা সুনিশ্চিত করতে আমাদের সরকার প্রথম দিন থেকে অনেকগুলি যুগান্তকারী কর্মসূচী নিয়েছে।

���ক্ষ্মীর ভাণ্ডার প্রকল্পে উপভোক্তার সংখ্যা এখন বেড়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে ২ কোটি ৪১ লক্ষ। ভাতার পরিমাণও আবার ৫০০ টাকা করে বাড়ানো হয়েছে - তপশিলী জাতি ও আদিবাসী পরিবারের মহিলারা এখন মাসে ১৭০০ টাকা এবং অন্যান্যরা মাসে ১৫০০ টাকা করে পাচ্ছেন।

স্বাস্থ্যসাথী প্রকল্পে স্মার্টকার্ডটি পরিবারের মহিলা সদস্যের নামে। প্রায় ২ কোটি ৪২ লক্ষ মহিলা ��ই কার্ড পেয়েছেন।

স্কুল, কলেজ ও বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় – সব স্তরেই মেয়েরা কন্যাশ্রী পাচ্ছে। ১ কোটি ছাত্রী এখন কন্যাশ্রী। UNESCO তে সেরার শিরোপা পেয়ে ‘কন্যাশ্রী’ বিশ্বজয়ী।

রূপশ্রী প্রকল্পের মাধ্যমে প্রায় ২৩ লক্ষ মহিলাকে বিবাহের জন্য এককালীন ২৫,০০০ টাকা করে আর্থিক সহায়তা দেওয়া হয়েছে।

সবুজসাথী প্রকল্পে রাজ্যের ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের ১ কোটি ৪৮ লক্ষ সাইকেল দেওয়া হয়েছে, তার মধ্যে প্রায় ৭৯ ��ক্ষ মেয়েদের জন্য।

মা–বোনেদের ও শিশুদের স্বাস্থ্যরক্ষায় আমাদের সরকার বহুমুখী পদক্ষেপ করা হয়েছে। মাদার এন্ড চাইল্ড হাব হয়েছে ১৭টি। গর্ভবতী মহিলাদের জন্য ১৩টি ওয়েটিং হাট হয়েছে। এসবের ফলে প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক প্রসবের হার ৬৮.১% থেকে বেড়ে হয়েছে ৯৯.১৪%।

আজ নারী সুরক্ষায় বাংলা দেশের সেরা। কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারই বলছে দেশের সবচেয়ে নিরাপদ শহর কলকাতা। এই নিরাপত্তা আরও সুদৃঢ় করতে কদিন আগেই কলকাতা পুলিশের উদ্যোগে পিঙ্ক বুথ' ও অল-উইমেন 'SHINING' মোবাইল পরিষেবা শুরু করা হয়েছে। মেয়েরা রাতবিরেতে যাতে আরো সুরক্ষিত বোধ করে তার জন্যই আমাদের এই উদ্যোগ।

নারী নিরাপত্তা সুনিশ্চিত করতে এর আগেও আমরা অনেক পদক্ষেপ করেছি। ‘অপরাজিতা বিল’ পাশ করা হয়েছে। ৪৯টি মহিলা থানা স্থাপন করা হয়েছে। ২০১১ সালের আগে কোন মহিলা থানা ছিল না।এছাড়া বিচার ব্যবস্থায় গতি আনতে মহিলাদের জন্য ৫২টি ফাস্ট ট্র্যাক কোর্ট তৈরি করা হয়েছে।

ত্রিস্তরীয় পঞ্চায়েতে ৫০% মহিলা আসন সংরক্ষণ কার্যকর করেছি আমরা। এমনকি বিধানসভা, লোকসভা ও রাজ্যসভাতেও আমাদের মহিলা প্রতিনিধির সংখ্যা দেশের মধ্যে অগ্রগণ্য।

‘আনন্দধারা’ প্রকল্পের আওতায় ১.২১ কোটি মহিলাকে নিয়ে ১২ লক্ষেরও বেশি SHG তৈরী হয়েছে – সারা দেশে যা আর কেউ করতে পারেনি। নানা ��্রশিক্ষণের মাধ্যমে তাঁদের দক্ষতা বাড়ানো হচ্ছে এবং তাঁদের জন্য ঋণের ব্যবস্থা করে তাঁদের স্বনির্ভর করা হচ্ছে। আমাদের এই প্রকল্প দেশের মডেল।

রাজ্য সরকারী অফিস, স্কুল, কলেজ, বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়, পঞ্চায়েত ও মিউনিসিপ্যালিটিতে কর্মরত মহিলা কর্মীদের জন্য আমরা ৭৩০ দিন সবেতন Child Care Leave মঞ্জুর করা হয়েছে।

‘কর্মাঞ্জলি’ প্রকল্পের আওতায় কর্মরত মহিলাদের থাকার জন্য বাংলা জুড়ে গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে ১৩��ি হস্টেল। আমি এর নাম রেখেছি ‘কর্মাঞ্জলি’।

শেষে বলি –
