Ay Lawangena, zindagΔ« da dera hasΔna.
Oh my dear, life is so beautiful.
The Matterhorn. Some mountains you read about. This one you feel. ποΈπ¨π
A quick evening stop in Bern, Switzerlandβs capital. Four unexpected gems: the Bundeshaus Parliament courtyard with its 1858 fountain, the Swiss National Bank, the 13th century Zytglogge astronomical clock tower still marking time in the medieval old town, and ancient Roman ruins preserved under glass inside the train station. History literally beneath your feet. π¨π
Jungfraujoch, Top of Europe. 11,332ft above sea level, carved through the Eiger mountain. Views of the Aletsch Glacier, the longest glacier in the Alps. Europeβs highest railway station, running since 1912. At the top in June itβs 23Β°F while the valley below is 59Β°F. A place that genuinely exceeds expectations. ποΈπ¨π
Earlier today at Staubbachfall in Lauterbrunnen π¨π. At 1,000 ft itβs one of the tallest free-falling waterfalls in Europe. The water essentially turns to mist (βStaubβ means dust/spray) before it hits the ground.
TrΓΌmmelbach Fall is unique as itβs the only glacial waterfall in Europe accessible from inside the mountain. A tunnel lift takes you up inside the rock to see 10 successive waterfalls carved through the cliffs, draining the Eiger, Monch, and Jungfrau glaciers.
