How long until we see the experts of everything claim they’ve been advising on this new law for at least five years? I’d give it a quarter by the time bios are updated. You do you.

@steph3n Seems to suit the hyper aggressive view of Commissioner Khan’s agenda. I’ve not yet read the proposal but 50k per fake review is erm impressive absent proven awareness or intention by the company in question.
I've just come across this timely and important project that the National Academy of Medicine has organized for an AI Code of Conduct in healthcare. Pretty impressive roster in the Steering Committee and it will be interesting to s…https://t.co/Jpk7YNGIbq https://t.co/bKPBRBswQ2
Just one definition of happiness is that several days into a vacation you look at your son and realize neither of you knows (or rally cares) what day of the week it is.
That is the end of this super-professional post.
In the same vein as law firms being hit with data breaches and the “there but for the grace of god” thought every other firm should have, here is what appears to be an unfortunate copy/paste or template re-use situation. There is a…https://t.co/fLngIgczsd https://t.co/Udh62nAEco
Interesting blog post here from the folks at TIKI on the application of zero-data marketing and loyalty programs. Between the GDPR and CCPA, this approach looks like it will be a nice solution.

Okay, so maybe those force majeur clauses are important. While I'm no expert (or even a novice) on what constitutes 'war', this should cause every cyber insurer and policy holder to re-read their documents.

Potentially helpful decision here and I’m looking forward to fuller discussion on the implications. Right away, I wonder whether “the recipient has the means” to re-identify the data equates to “the recipient has no ability at the time of receipt” to re-i…https://t.co/SmwsH7gtnt
Thank you to Leonard T. Nuara for inviting me again to speak on cybersecurity and privacy at the annual Practising Law Institute (PLI) program on IOT. Equally important, thank you to FTC DPIP attorney Ronnie Solomon for joining and making the panel the success it was.
While many organizations address multi-function printers and storage devices in their policies, I've not seen (m)any that explicitly consider routers. This would be a good time to review yours. https://t.co/bZg9U0MYNN
I’ve not seen the survey, but assuming it to be accurate and reasonably representative, this is bad. Sadly, I suspect this is an optimistic view.

Nice synopsis from Felicity Slater on a novel approach to protecting health data. The geo-fencing is a good idea for so many reasons, not simply in response to certain states that have criminalized abortion, etc. https://t.co/zN5iWuuaUb
@Slaterfe If I’m at my doc’s website (via a vpn because I have trust issues), there will be plenty of trackers. Some use the data for advertising and other trackers are akin to an internal tool. Just a smidge of the issue is that CTOs don’t understand a cookie from another tracker.
@Slaterfe This is a good recap of why HIPAA is a hot mess. (Not even an attractive hot mess.) My doc is at BI-Lahey. MGH also has my records. If I have logged in, probably PHI. If I’m searching the same question on WebMD it is unlikely PHI. And your favorite search engine? Nope.
