We're proud to announce our official partnership with @unstoppablebyhs, PrivateAlps now powers the XMR, BTC & LTC nodes behind Unstoppable Wallet.
"Easy" cloud means easy for the platform. Vendor access by default, limited visibility into logging, terms that shift mid-contract, pricing on their schedule.
If this sounds familiar, repost so others know what they're signing up for π

MONERO / BITCOIN / LITECOIN Wallets GET PERFORMANCE UPGRADE!
Over the years we have built some of the most comprehensive and sophisticated multi wallets out there. IFYKYK
Itβs not a coincidence that we are among the very first to build open source BITCOIN /LITECOIN lite clients for Swift and Kotlin. Or that we are often recommended by Satoshi era OGs.
While we aim to support all capabilities of the underlying chain one of the key challenges is to provide fast synchronization speeds for UTXO blockchains while adhering to privacy protocols.
We appreciate our dear friends at @PrivateAIps for providing us with the access to some of the fastest and privacy-preserving nodes on the planet.
As a result :
- Monero wallets sync faster
- Bitcoin wallets sync faster
- Litecoin wallets sync faster
You still can use other nodes or even your own but if you donβt have one, the default node in the unstoppable wallet app now powered by @PrivateAIps

At a certain point, big cloud's defaults become constraints - vendor access baked in, terms that shift mid-contract, pricing that scales on their schedule.

$4.9M - average cost of a data breach in 2024.
Detection, containment, legal exposure, lost business. That's what "good enough" infrastructure can cost when it fails.
Reducing exposure starts at the infrastructure level

Incognito mode doesn't stop browser fingerprinting.
Screen resolution, fonts, timezone, GPU rendering - combined, they identify you with ~99% accuracy.
No cookies needed, no opt-out on their end π₯οΈ

Governments don't always need a warrant for your location history. They buy it from data brokers who bought it from your apps.
The pipeline is legal in most jurisdictions and actively used. Repost if you knew about this π°

Support tickets are an underestimated attack surface. Your message and environment snapshot go into a helpdesk involving multiple vendors with broader access than you'd think.
Do you know exactly who reads your support conversations? π

A freelancer managing client databases in Frankfurt doesn't need their hosting provider logging access patterns, storing support ticket contents, or sharing infrastructure metadata with third-party vendors.

XmrBazaar is down. @1984Hosting Co shut us down. We received no warning we know of. We are not sure why yet. We are trying to make contact with them to resolve this. Apologies for the inconvenience. Like and share to spread the word.
Most cloud providers update their ToS with no notification. The doc changes, you're already bound by the new version, and it usually includes something vague about accessing your data "for security purposes"
Know what you actually agreed to.

Most hosting comes with data collection on by default - telemetry, usage logs, third-party panels included. You didn't opt in - you were just included. The opt-out, if it exists, is usually buried.
Repost if you've dealt with this π

Full control means you set the encryption, the access rules, and what gets logged. No vendor access pre-configured in the background, no data collection by default.
Your server, your terms.

"Nothing to hide" as an infra philosophy means logging everything, giving vendors broad access, and building a detailed record of your operations. That's not neutral - that's unnecessary exposure.
What changed your thinking on this? π
