Patients at @UHSFT were part of a UK trial that found surgery was more effective than antibiotics at treating this common condition.

More than 500 patients across the UK, including many at UHS, took part in the MACRO trial, a major study into sinusitis treatment.
It showed that surgery is more effective than antibiotics in improving quality of life for those suffering from chronic sinusitis.
