Today marks the last day of voting for the longest & most toxic election in Indian history.

The ruling BJP had allies which include:

1. Election Commission
2. TV Media
3. Central Agencies
4. Police & CISF/CRPF
5. Parts of the judiciary
6. Massive money power
7. Fake cases
8. Government machinery
9. Hate speech

Against this were the Opposition parties whose allies were:

1. People of India

Even the Election Commission of India hit its lowest point in this election. There is not a SINGLE fully independent institution left anymore that hasn’t been wrecked by the BJP.

This isn’t an election about mere winning or losing.

This is an election which will decide whether the Constitution of India survives & thrives or whether it is completely destroyed by Modi & Shah.

@pbhushan1 BJP is using ED in two ways:

(1) Poaching the influential opposition leaders to BJP fold by labelling fake corruption changes.
(2) Extortion of election fund for BJP by sending notices to corrupt corporations.

I vehemently condemn the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal, the sitting elected Chief Minister of Delhi elected by the people. I have personally reached out to Smt Sunita Kejriwal to extend my unwavering support and solidarity. It's outrageous that while elected opposition CMs are being deliberately targeted and arrested while individuals accused under CBI/ED investigations are allowed to continue their malpractices with impunity, especially after aligning with the BJP. This is a blatant assault on democracy.

Today, our INDIA alliance will meet the EC to express our strong objection to the deliberate targeting and arrests of opposition leaders, particularly during the MCC period. To this end, I have designated @derekobrienmp and @MdNadimulHaque6 to represent @AITCofficial in this crucial meeting with the Election Commission.
