We remain committed to building resilient systems, fostering inclusion, and ensuring that the voices of young people—especially those living with HIV—are heard, respected, and prioritized. @Yplus_Global@AfriYANGH@PanelUnfpa
Our network is growing. 🤝🌏Through new MoUs with networks of people living with & affected by HIV and other health issues, we’re strengthening partnerships when civic space is shrinking. This is how we stay connected, collective, and powerful. Discover👉 https://t.co/2uhkqjZbjP
This year’s theme, “Give to Gain,” challenges us to move beyond words and commit to creating a world where women and girls have the opportunities, protection, and leadership space they deserve. Because when women rise, society rises with them.

Today, we celebrate the women and girls shaping science — and the future we all share. 🧬But to solve the challenges ahead, science and gender equality must move forward together.
Let’s break barriers, uplift voices, and inspire the next generation of girls in STEM.
Rewriting masculinity. Thrilled to host the Department of Gender & Ashanti RCC for a dynamic workshop on #PositiveMasculinity, funded by @UNFPAGhana. Together, we're empowering men to help end SGBV!
When it comes to youth advocacy, we lead the change!

@TelecelGhana your online Merchant SIM registration form appears unresponsive — the dropdown options for Business Category and Industry are not functioning. Your call centre agents seem unaware that merchant registration can be completed online. Pls get it sorted. Thanks
The funds would be fully invested in our Skills Acquisition and Empowerment Program, which is dedicated to equipping at-risk youth—particularly adolescent girls and young women—with practical, income-generating skills to enhance their economic independence and long-term resilience.
Over an intensive eight-week period, ProActif Global was proud to support the Ashanti Region Technical Support Unit of the @ghanaids to engage 4,089 @yeaghana beneficiary trainees across Tepa, Nkenkenso, and Fumso under the Community Medical First Responder (National Ambulance Service) and Prison Office Assistant modules.
Through structured, peer-led sessions held every Saturday, young men and women were empowered with accurate, timely information on HIV prevention and control, as well as updates on the current state of the HIV epidemic in Ghana.
The engagements also addressed basic facts on CONSENT and POSITIVE MASCULINITY as critical pathways to preventing sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), alongside practical education on the 3 Cs of condom use—Correct, Consistent, and Continuous.
By challenging harmful myths and promoting respectful, responsible behaviors, these sessions strengthened the capacity of beneficiaries to make informed health and relationship decisions, reinforcing ProActif Global’s commitment to youth empowerment, public health education, and safer, more inclusive communities.
That’s a wrap on our #GenZAgainstHIV campaign, but certainly not an end to the mission. HIV doesn’t pause for a new year—and neither does our commitment to fight it. Think of this not as a finish line, but as passing the baton… to ourselves, every single day. Let’s carry this energy forward, making awareness a lifestyle, not just a moment.
Our blueprint remains clear: silence fuels stigma, so let’s keep the dialogue louder than the judgment. Staying on your meds (ART) is your power—consistency is key. Armor up with knowledge on PrEP/PEP, make consent non-negotiable in every encounter, and stand firm against sexual and gender-based violence. This is our continuous playlist for a healthier, safer life.
So here’s to the next chapter—one built on smart choices, solidarity, and unwavering voice. The campaign banner may come down, but our resolve only grows stronger. Let’s keep protecting our peace, supporting our peers, and shaping a future free from fear.
Aluta Continua.
Did you know that HIV is still a major public health concern, with over 1.3 million new infections recorded globally each year, yet many of these infections are preventable with the right information and timely action? Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) can reduce the risk of acquiring HIV by up to 99% when taken consistently, while Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) can prevent HIV infection if started within 72 hours after possible exposure. Knowledge of these proven prevention tools is not optional—it is life-saving.
At AfriYan Ghana, we believe that ending HIV begins with informed choices, accessible services, and stigma-free conversations. Whether you are young, sexually active, in a relationship, or simply planning ahead, PrEP and PEP give you power, protection, and peace of mind. The question is not whether these options work—the question is, are you PrEPared?

You’re right that condom use is a personal choice for protection. However, the 'Sigh' in the data is that many people in long-term relationships stop using any form of protection because they assume they are "safe".
We’re encouraging transparency specifically because 'trust' shouldn't be a substitute for 'testing.' It’s a tough conversation for Boxing Day, but losing a partner to a preventable virus is a much heavier burden.
"Personal agency" is the goal, however "mutual transparency" is the reality required for people who have already decided to stop using protection because they are in a "committed relationship".
Did you know that in Sub-Saharan Africa, close to two-thirds of new HIV infections occur within stable, married, or cohabiting couples? Shockingly, about half of these are acquired from a partner who unknowingly brought the virus home from an external source. Living together doesn't make you "immune"—it makes transparency and regular testing your most vital relationship goal.
This Boxing Day, we are challenging every young person in Ghana to unbox the one thing we often keep hidden: our status. Transparency is the only way to halt the spread of HIV in our generation. It takes courage to have the conversation, but it takes even more strength to protect the person you claim to love. Don’t let the festivities end in regret.
By choosing protection and disclosure today, you are gifting yourself and your partner the peace of mind that no physical present can buy. Let’s make this the safest Boxing Day yet.
