It has been 39 days since Thai soldiers unlawfully captured Cambodian military personnel. Their continued detention is a violation of international law, human rights, and basic human dignity.

On the morning of July 29, 2025,
immediately after the ceasefire took effect, the Thai armed forces illegally arrested Cambodian military personnel. As of September 8, 2025, they have been detained unlawfully for 41days.

Human dignity is not optional. Around the world it is eroded in conflict through dehumanizing others and asserting superiority. The septic truck stunt on the Thai–Cambodian border was disgraceful. It reduced Cambodians to waste and deepened the divide, showing Thailand’s bullying posture in the conflict. By not arresting him, Thai authorities missed a chance to show that dignity and respect at the border matter more than theatrics.
