General NS Raja Subramani, Chief of Defence Staff, (#CDS) visited HQ #CentralCommand, #Lucknow and reviewed operational preparedness and logistics capabilities. During the visit, he held detailed discussions with Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta, GOC-in-C #CentralCommand and senior officers on operational readiness, capability development and the evolving security environment. The CDS also visited the under-construction new Central Command Hospital, where he was briefed on the progress of the project and its envisaged healthcare infrastructure.

During his visit to Lucknow, General NS Raja Subramani also called on Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Yogi Adityanath. The interaction provided an opportunity to exchange views on matters of mutual interest, with emphasis on continued coordination and cooperation between the Armed Forces and the State Government. The engagement reinforced the importance of close Military-Civil synergy in furthering shared institutional and developmental objectives.

The visit underscored the continued focus on operational readiness, resilient logistics, modern infrastructure and capability development to meet emerging challenges.

Their trek through the pristine landscapes of #GorsonBugyal further introduced them to the majestic beauty and wilderness of the Himalayas.

Inspiring the youth to dream big and serve the nation! 🇮🇳

A motivational interaction was conducted at Asharfi Devi Chidu Singh Inter College, Agra on 21 Sep 2026, engaging 350 students & teachers, including 100 girls.

The session covered NDA, CDS, OTA, NCC Special Entry & Agnipath Scheme (AVWMP), along with eligibility, selection procedures, rally conduct, documentation and medical examination.

Girl students were particularly encouraged to explore opportunities under AVWMP and pursue a career in uniform.

Updated recruitment procedures—including four race groups, application in multiple categories and examinations in multiple languages—were also explained.

In a remarkable display of courage, precision and combat readiness, a paratrooper of #SuryaWarrior undertook a tandem parachute jump over Behat DZ with a dog handler and his combat canine, carrying a full combat load.

The jump is believed to be among the first instances of a tandem descent involving a dog handler and his canine, building upon earlier free-fall jumps undertaken with the dog.

A remarkable testament to trust, teamwork and the unbreakable bond between soldier and canine, mission-ready, together.

Honouring those who dedicated their lives to the Nation, #SignalsRecords and #1SignalTrainingCentre conducted a Veterans Outreach Programme at Jeevansar, Jhunjhunu.

Reaching out to Ex-Servicemen, #VeerNaris, widows and dependents, the initiative facilitated resolution of pension-related issues, welfare concerns and service grievances, taking meaningful assistance directly to the veterans’ doorstep.

The outreach reaffirmed an enduring promise: service may conclude, but the bond with our veterans never does.

A motivational lecture was conducted by ARO on “Join the Indian Army" highlighting various aspects of Agnipath Scheme.

Over 350 people attended the event which aimed to give an idea to cadets on conduct of rally, bonus mks, merit list and imp of Tech entry and Medicals. Special emphasis was given on aspects of offrs entry in different branches.

Focus was given on the transparent and fair selection system in place, cautioning students and cadets against fraudulent activities and anti-tauting measures were discussed.

The program witnessed enthusiastic participation, with active engagement in Q&A sessions, clarifying their doubts.

Awareness and publicity material including caps, posters, handouts, diaries, notepads etc was distributed among cadets/students to enhance awareness and generate enthusiasm towards joining the armed forces.

A motivational session was conducted by Sub Maj Mahendra Kumar Gadhwal, ARO, RO (HQ), Lucknow at B.S.N.V Inter College Charbagh, Lucknow aimed at fostering student’s awareness on career opportunities in the Armed Forces with special focus on Agnipath entry Scheme. Session also covered various Offr entry schemes.

185 Students were provided a clear and detailed explanation of the eligibility criteria, application procedure and selection process for Agnipath Scheme,  permanent entry and Officer Commission.

Handouts, posters and other publicity mtrls were distributed to students and College staff.

Remembering the legend of Asal Uttar.

On the 61st martyrdom anniversary of CQMH Abdul Hamid, PVC (Posthumous), Hon’ble Raksha Rajya Mantri Shri Sanjay Seth paid homage at the braveheart’s native village, Dhamupur, Ghazipur.

The wreath-laying ceremony was also attended by the GOC, Purva UP & MP Sub Area, senior military officers, veterans, civil dignitaries and the next-of-kin.

During the 1965 Indo-Pak War, the gallant soldier of 4 GRENADIERS confronted advancing enemy Patton tanks with his jeep-mounted 106 mm recoilless gun. Braving intense fire, he destroyed multiple tanks and fought until his last breath—helping blunt the enemy’s armoured offensive.

His extraordinary courage and supreme sacrifice remain immortal.

GARHWAL REGIMENTAL MOUNTAINEERING EXPEDITION.

The #GarhwalRifles Regimental Mountaineering Expedition to Mount Mana (7,274 m) was flagged off today by Brig Vinod Negi, VSM, Centre Commandant, setting in motion an expedition by the valiant soldiers of Garhwal Rifles into the challenging high-altitude terrain of the Himalayas. The expedition comprises 31 mountaineers from sister battalions of the #GarhwalRifles.

The expedition will test courage, endurance, leadership and mountaineering skills, while carrying forward the proud tradition of the #GarhwalRifles Regiment to venture where few dare and achieve what seems impossible.

With the Tricolour as their inspiration and the summit as their objective, the mountaineers march ahead to embrace the challenge and turn every step into a testament of grit and perseverance.
