On Aug. 22, 2025, police were called to an apartment in South Bloomington. That is where officers said they found a crying woman surrounded by a large amount of blood and abortion pills.
At the time, she was seven weeks pregnant and planned to have the baby. ...
Rep. Shri Thanedar's recent post describing the unborn as "a half-ounce fetus with no consciousness," wasn't just crass; it points to a much deeper issue — language that dismisses the dignity of an entire population.

The historic effort to defund Big Abortion is at a critical moment.
With the current provision set to expire next month, we urge the Senate and House to finish the job through reconciliation and keep taxpayer dollars out of the hands of the abortion industry.
Women deserve care. Taxpayers deserve better stewardship. And babies deserve a chance at LIFE.
Let’s get this across the finish line.
Overturning Roe v. Wade did not cause rising #MaternalMortality in the U.S., nor did it lead to a mass exodus of healthcare providers from pro-life states.
A new paper by @docskop demonstrates that the abortion industry’s predictions of harm from pro-life laws haven't come true. The real issues impacting maternal mortality, such as pre-existing risk factors overrepresented in pro-life states but unrelated to abortion laws, are complex—and overlooking them puts countless lives at risk.

“That's horrible.”
Even across political lines, the reaction to an FDA policy that allows people to obtain abortion drugs in the mail and without a doctor is the same.
Jona Affholder’s case shows the urgent need to protect women from the coercion and abuse enabled by a mail-order system with no real safeguards & to ensure unborn babies' lives are not violently ended.
Her abuser is now awaiting sentencing.
This is not theory. It’s true crime.
SBA on the Street: We went out in Capitol Hill and filmed reactions to mail order drug crime.
Many parents who receive a discouraging prenatal diagnosis choose to carry their baby to term and care for their child with love and dignity, for however long that life may last.
Most parents facing a prenatal diagnosis are offered two painful choices: have an abortion now, or continue and watch their baby suffer. But these are not the only options.
There is another path.
Author, actor, and advocate Frank Stephens’ words serve as a powerful reminder: Every child with a prenatal diagnosis deserves a chance to experience life.
#WorldDownSyndromeDay
Every single child with Down syndrome is a gift from God, who deserves life.
These children have just as much value, and deserve life just as much as a child without DS.
Down syndrome children aren’t a curse to parents.
Pass it on.
My favorite part of this year's March for Life was the amazing Friends of Club 21 Choir - a group of singers with Down Syndrome. Their music, their joy, and their lives are such a gift. ❤️
This story from @McJuggerNuggets is heartbreaking.
My heart breaks for the tragedy of another life lost to abortion. This precious baby with Down Syndrome deserved to live.
And I'm also heartbroken that we live in a time when parents who get a Down Syndrome diagnosis are pushed towards abortion by "doctors, friends, family, and genetic counselors" (per the below) & a culture that aborts as much as 90% of babies w this diagnosis (a key factor in this decision).
The culture of death is all around us. And too many ppl don't have the tools to cut through the darkness and see the light.
This is unspeakably sad.
It's wrong -- crushingly, gravely, sorrowfully, and heinously wrong.
I'm convinced what makes a difference is to pray that Christ will be known to every person invovled.
Pia and Max are gonna do that. Let's do that.
