Ten uncomfortable truths you have to face.
1. Dollar will continue to rise and will not come down.
2. Things will get HARDER. We just started.
3. Insecurity will worsen.
4. Government will never care.
5. Tinubu still has OVER 7 YEARS to go
6. He will never care at any point.
7. You didn't contribute to this mess but you will partake in the coming suffering if you haven't left the country.
8. Your friends who supported all this, are not your friends of y'all laugh together. They are either deliberately evil, narrow minded or just plain stupid. They are a danger to you either way.
9. Given another opportunity, some of your friends will support APC again for selfish reasons that don't take your safety into consideration.
10. Some people have cornered Nigeria as their personal property and would rather die than relinquish power. The people are just collateral damage in their all-important ambition. You don't matter to them. It may be the land of your birth but they have seized it as theirs. ONLY drastic and fearless methods can bring about a change.
“I am telling Nigerians to rise for yourselves. No Supreme Court will give you true democracy. Alhaji Tinubu does not own Nigeria. For HE Peter Obi and me, it is over, but it is not over for the Nigerian people! Nigerians have the power to take back their country. They can and should take back their country, especially when the Supreme Court upheld illegality”
— Yusuf Datti Baba Ahmed on Arise TV.
Today, my wife and I were in Kano State, to condole with the family of Late Senator Bello Yusuf Maitama, a respected elder statesman who served the nation as Minister of Internal Affairs.
Amidst the removal of subsidies, it is essential to reflect upon significant queries. Is it justifiable to eliminate subsidies when the minimum wage does not align with the current reality? How can individuals with low incomes manage if subsidies are deemed the solution? Why have our refineries not functioned despite successive administrations spending billions? Why do those who embezzle funds allocated for refinery repairs evade accountability? If the Dangote refineries will not benefit the masses, why did the Nigerian government subsidize and provide them with dollars at a lower exchange rate? Why should the impoverished population bear the brunt of the consequences? Why can't we reduce expenditures in the executive and legislative branches? Why hasn't anyone been held responsible if the federal government is aware of fuel smuggling to neighboring countries? Once again, Nigeria lacks seriousness as a nation.
