The G07 X7 M60i arrived with the S68 4.4L twin-turbo V8 and 530 PS as the replacement for the M50i in 2023.
It sits directly below the Alpina XB7 in the BMW Group's X7 range, using the same S68 engine family in a less extreme tune, with M Sport suspension, M Sport rear differential, and a visual package that separates it clearly from the standard X7 range.
The S68 with 48V mild hybrid assistance produces its 530 PS with cylinder deactivation shutting off four cylinders during light load, which gives the M60i a fuel consumption figure that looks reasonable on paper for a car weighing over 2,500 kg.
Also the heat management problem is gone with electrified turbos resulting in less high temperature cycles.
In reality it is one of the quickest full-size seven-seat SUVs on sale - 0-100 km/h in 4.7 seconds in a car the size of a small sauna.
The M60i also represents a naming change that confused plenty of buyers.
The 60i badge on an X7 used to mean a big V12.
The S68 twin-turbo changed that, and most people who saw the badge assumed it was the old engine.

The C8 RS6 has been in production since 2020 and by most measures is already the definitive performance estate.
In the past Audi used make the Plus version of their RS6, but this time its called the GT, in a way a successor to the Plus versions.
621 PS from a revised EA825 4.0L twin-turbo V8, 850 Nm, 0-100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, a ceramic exhaust coating as standard, carbon ceramic brakes, carbon exterior package, lowered suspension with stiffer springs, and Audi Sport carbon fibre front splitter and rear diffuser.
Only 660 units were built with 85 that made their way to USA.
In Sebring Black or Nardo Grey, with the ceramic exhaust glowing faintly at idle, it is one of the most extreme factory estate cars ever produced in Germany.
The RS6 taken as far as Audi Sport was willing to take it with the only limit being the hierarchy.
