Present were: Judicial officers from Kajiado Law Court, representatives from Kajiado Referral Hospital, Youth and Sports @KajiadoGov, @KenyaRedCross -Kajiado chapter, @CITAMOnline Church, Kitengela, St. John's Catholic church, and NGOs such as Dupoto-e-Maa.
@ProbationKE engaged key stakeholders and partners in a collaborative forum in Kajiado to strengthen community-based rehabilitation and social justice interventions in the county.
Dr. Florence Mueni, Director, Rift Valley Region @ProbationKE , led the exercise that brought together stakeholders from the @Kenyajudiciary, County Government, Faith-Based Organizations, and non-governmental organizations, among others.
Also present were: Director of the Social Inquiries and Offender Assessment Directorate, Madam Rahab Kyengo, the Regional Director, Coast Region, Mr. Joel Nyamora, Mombasa County Director, Mr. Jacob Mbugua, and Ms Judy Kimamo, Representative from @SFCG_Kenya
The Probation and Aftercare Service today held a Psychosocial and Wellness Activity for probation officers at Shanzu Probation Training Resource Centre, following the emotionally demanding social inquiry processes linked to the Shakahola cases and other national assignments.
The Acting Secretary noted that officers are regularly exposed to traumatic experiences while serving at the intersection of justice and humanity, calling for continued investment in officer wellness as a key pillar of institutional integrity.
