@hyxkkimxru They’re not, it’s her clothes that cause the illusion. High waisted shorts make her upper legs look longer, socks a bit below the knees make her lower legs look shorter.
@lun4rbunnyVT@Warpstar_707@Guto998518@denimneverdies Dude… you just made that up
Guto said there are reasons besides race, poverty, etc. someone can get bullied. Aurelius said “like what?” I named some.
I read the thread, you’re just fucking stupid.
@lun4rbunnyVT@Warpstar_707@Guto998518@denimneverdies I’m not refusing anything, you’re saying irrelevant things and acting like it’s a gotcha. Maybe reread this thread and remind yourself what it’s about. The allegation was that only minorities and assholes are bullied/outcasts, and that is objectively untrue.
@lun4rbunnyVT@Warpstar_707@Guto998518@denimneverdies You remain wrong, and seem committed to staying that way, and that’s a you problem. Once again, even if there are underlying factors, that doesn’t change that ANYONE can become a target. THAT is another reason anti-bullying campaigns can fail, bc they generalize.
@lun4rbunnyVT@Warpstar_707@Guto998518@denimneverdies I would feel like you’re highly unintelligent bc that contradicts nothing I said, as it does nothing to change the fact that ppl who are NOT minorities are targeted, regardless of the reason bullies have this perception. Plus there are examples where this is not the case.
@lun4rbunnyVT@Warpstar_707@Guto998518@denimneverdies I feel for you, but your experience does not invalidate the experiences of others, it would do you good to step out of your bubble. I promise you there are ppl who have been and are being bullied just bc someone more popular doesn’t like them, there isn’t ALWAYS more to it.
@lun4rbunnyVT@Warpstar_707@Guto998518@denimneverdies This is untrue in many ways. I’ve seen many examples of ppl being bullied for their hobbies (anime, games, books, etc) + none of those qualities are exclusive to minorities. Preppy clothes, big forehead, ppl get shit for these. Lack of friends is often DUE TO these other factors.
@Warpstar_707@Guto998518@lun4rbunnyVT@denimneverdies I think “people tend to be more accepting of nerdy hobbies as of late” has some truth to it too, but I think this is an example of a case where we’re exposed to the good more than the bad. If a kid’s being bullied for their hobbies in some random school in Ohio how would we know?
@Warpstar_707@Guto998518@lun4rbunnyVT@denimneverdies I agree but it’s one thing to say “not an asshole” and another to say “an average personality” bc the former was given as the exception, and removing “non-average personalities” is inconsistent with “only minorities.” Nerdy, shy, wimpy, just a few I can think of.
@MieruNamazu@magnaisee They’re literally in a desert with red sand under golden hour lighting conditions in that picture, what do you suppose it should look like? KHIII has very varied lighting.
@Warpstar_707@Guto998518@lun4rbunnyVT@denimneverdies Where did “average personality” come from? Other than being “an asshole,” personality wasn’t part of this conversation. Cause I can easily name a personality that gets you bullied regardless of whether you’re a minority or not: nerd.
@SHINTAB_44@levgayeur That’s highly subjective… and this isn’t even really a matter of stylization, it is just lower polygons due to technical limitations.
Plus you greatly misunderstand my point. The issue is not that the textures are doing the heavy lifting, it’s how easily one can TELL they are.
@flortulence@spinnermoko lol you moved the goalpost so many times I don’t think you even know where to find it anymore. First “it’s a chIldren’s movie so it’s not supposed to be artistic,” then “Disney can’t make art,” then “Disney CAN make art, but they’re a business so they’re gonna do this instead.”
@Iamwsvy@glunkinator@DTGee64 Translation is rarely 1:1. すき is not as strong as 愛してる but the latter is not especially common (ie Japan doesn’t use “love” as freely as the West). すき is what you’ll hear in confessions, especially between teens/in anime. Ogata didn’t make NGE, try reading Anno’s comments
@FCUKuwu@SadieBy81859 It isn’t, Idk why they couldn’t link the article instead of making it look like a lie by just replying “it’s not” though, nor do I know what makes Sarah Little From Screen Rant™ the bottom line on the subject, but I digress
