Maybe reread this thread and remind yourself what it’s about. The allegation was that only minorities and assholes are bullied/outcasts, and that is objectively untrue.

I’ve seen many examples of ppl being bullied for their hobbies (anime, games, books, etc) + none of those qualities are exclusive to minorities. Preppy clothes, big forehead, ppl get shit for these. Lack of friends is often DUE TO these other factors.

If a kid’s being bullied for their hobbies in some random school in Ohio how would we know?

@Iamwsvy @glunkinator @DTGee64 Translation is rarely 1:1. すき is not as strong as 愛してる but the latter is not especially common (ie Japan doesn’t use “love” as freely as the West). すき is what you’ll hear in confessions, especially between teens/in anime.
