@FreyaHolmer And even if you make an instrument with a slow attack and no release time, you usually still write so the instrument starts on the beat rather than ending on it. It's tough to intentionally do it the other way
@lorenschmidt I'm not a big shmup guy but I thought Einhander was great. I haven't revisited it to see how it holds up but Gunhed/Blazing Lazers seemed great to me in the 90s. Also Raptor and Tyrian are kind of weird PC offshoots but have some neat stuff.
I've been really liking Lies of P but this is a truly egregious piece of level design. The platform the red arrow is pointing to has a kill volume attached, causing instant death. This is made worse by the lit spot circled in green suggesting I should be trying to get there.
How can it possibly be legal for a company to retroactively add a "you owe us money for each time this server gets pinged. No you can't see how the server gets pinged" to a license??
@jaytholen I think it's probably a good approach for a lot of devs but I feel like if I'm not doing something at least a little idiotically ambitious then what am I even doing here?
With advances in evolutionary algorithms butterfly technology will soon be so advanced that they can perfectly reproduce an owl. Owls will be completely obsolete.
@ckunzelman Really? My read was I assumed Jupe was absolutely about to get his ass beaten by a chimpanzee, and because he never found out after fucking around he believed he had some kind of rapport with Jean Jacket that wasn't there. I haven't seen it since it came out though.
These βjuicyβ techniques are a channel for communication β beyond just conveying bombast and impact, they can convey whatever the designer wishes https://t.co/2Ev5R5qoRh
