Yes, her holding the crystal in her had and pouring her raw emotions into the crystal makes more sense. Bleeding a crystal should not be easy.

It was obvious that Anakin’s case was special and one of a kind. Headland said, screw it and ima do my own thing and Disney allowed. No respect for what came before.

However, we are talking about Jedi Knight (or Master because I forget) who was in stasis for hundreds of years. Everything came out at once and even still he didn’t bleed it to a true sith color.
