MLB Attendance Problems

Here to expose ticket offices manipulation tactics to make people pay more. I don’t attack fanbases. Former MLB season ticket holder from 2001-2019.

For those not following along. The @Brewers are either direct listing or working with a broker/consolidator to control supply on the “secondary market”.

The BOTS ACT is in place to circumvent ticket limits which gives an unfair advantage to certain buyers over general consumers

@vergotd 1,000%

And then they block me. No rebuttal. Just some gifs laughing at me because their games are being exposed. Their manipulation is making you pay more. Whether it’s holding back inventory or sending it directly or indirectly to their “official resale marketplace”.

[MLB Attendance Problems @ProblemsMlb]

@janicebbox Again. No denying.

“Secondary” marketplaces are being controlled by the primary box office and their exclusive broker.

This is how we got here 👇🏻

Every time I expose a box office game, this is the typical response I get from their employees. They can deny it, so they just leave.

[MLB Attendance Problems @ProblemsMlb]

@ChadEverst @RaysBaseball Teams are taking advantage (leveraging) of all the PPC ad spend for these exchanges. They use all “secondary” exchanges as “distribution channels”.

[MLB Attendance Problems @ProblemsMlb]

@RaysBaseball box office just released a bunch of #WorldSeries game 3 tickets priced at $100+ more than “secondary” market.

[MLB Attendance Problems @ProblemsMlb]

@ChadEverst @RaysBaseball Because resale exchanges have been taken over by teams and their exclusive broker(s). Just because it’s listed as resale, doesn’t mean it’s resale. Just about every listing of more than 4 tickets is not just a random reseller.

[MLB Attendance Problems @ProblemsMlb]

@SpencerRandlett @RaysBaseball @Brewers @SeatGeek Depends on where you want to sit. Based on the available inventory and current sales velocity, this one still has more room to drop. Just be ready to pull the trigger if things start moving. Box office has reduced SROs to exactly $500 now after taxes and fees.

[MLB Attendance Problems @ProblemsMlb]

#worldseries game 3 in St Pete with the @RaysBaseball down 0-2 in the series vs the @Brewers tomorrow night.

Current on @SeatGeek

2+ 🎟️ 768
6+ 🎟️ 231
8+ 🎟️ 136

Too much inventory available to manipulate this market like in Milwaukee.

@AikmanCMU Buts it’s the primary box office causing it. Thats where people are confused.

[MLB Attendance Problems @ProblemsMlb]

@AikmanCMU “Secondary” markets. Yes.

[Adam Booker @abooker17]

My timeline in recent weeks has been endless imagery of swathes of empty seats across so many different sports. I think we’re at a major tipping point after years of greed and predatory ticket policies from teams/leagues. Though I don’t expect anything will change soon.

[MLB Attendance Problems @ProblemsMlb]

@janicebbox You are suggesting that a resale marketplace is actually resale. Like the primary box offices doesn’t control a large portion of the “secondary market”

I dunno. Maybe start here 👇🏻

@BY272727 Thanks Ben. I saw it and posted it around the same time you tagged me.

[MLB Attendance Problems @ProblemsMlb]

Following exact same pattern as yesterday. @Brewers turn off sale at box office and then load all the good seats they normally drop on gameday directly on @SeatGeek

[MLB Attendance Problems @ProblemsMlb]

@TheRealBenz2 @SeatGeek @Brewers These are real tickets. Fake tickets priced too high won’t do much to the market. SeatGeek actually punishes sellers who don’t deliver. If these were bought.

[MLB Attendance Problems @ProblemsMlb]

Let’s watch the 6+ ticket listings bounce around the stadium as supply is manipulated. These are all from today. Random sellers don’t list 6+ tickets together on game day when the limit is 2. The supply continues to be manipulated to inflate price
@SeatGeek
@Brewers #WorldSeries

[MLB Attendance Problems @ProblemsMlb]

@TKrueger71 The primary is too high. They had it probably right before and then raised.

[MLB Attendance Problems @ProblemsMlb]

@caseyflip22 @WillJen33752275 I wouldn’t trust anyone selling tickets on twitter.
