Here's a ton of detail shots within SL showing the mats in a few different ways.
Some shots are just the normal and roughness map, some lower roughness making for good rim lighting. Then a look at the emissive and occlusion to bake in some lighting.
@Zapaeryan wanted to explain that bit more, but lazy/text limit
But the blue emiss map there is just the fur emiss map in all the other shots. Using the emiss as a fake subsurface scattering and rim light. Like swap the blue with for a vibrant ver of the base body fur coloring.
@Zapaeryan pbr for sure makes texturing skin tight clothing directly to the body look more like the fabric it's supposed to be compared to before pbr got added
@Zapaeryan I think it was added about 2 years ago? Though I've only seen pbr houses and clothes get made for sl so far. Haven't seen much in the way of pbr body mats come out.
After finishing mine though I might look into making more stuff.
Rendered out some fancy shots, I can say I'm finally done with these materials. Not perfect by any means but I feel like I've finished what I set out to do with these body mats. Just gotta wrap up the add on bits and have a fully set up avi.
been a long long time, and I had figured I'd only comment on it when I was finished, but here's another wip of strawberry cat, using pbr materials in sl.
Going to be interesting using the Meshify 3 as a Torrent 2.0 case. Too bad fractal doesn't have a 180mm of their new set of fans. Though either way I probably don't need yet another set of case fans just to have white versions.
Another wip. I have lots of mats where I need to put them all together in a way that adds to the overall look. Most work now is adjustments. Shots are just the fur aspect I did, the markings and such. The diffuse and the materials, fourth pic is no diffuse to see just the mats
