@TTProcess1@junglejava1 Okay that’s super fair!
Been following as a public market investor and weed smoker for a few years and think these large scale companies will probably work well
Probably get scooped up by big tobacco at some point once their regulatory team is cool with it.
@TTProcess1@junglejava1 That’s fair any other public companies you prefer?
I just like looking for low cost in a beaten down commoditized industry. They’ll survive the trough and thrive during the boom times.
Importantly for timing it seems like we’re moving out of the trough right now
@TTProcess1@junglejava1 Now if somehow management is involved and using that money to keep themselves afloat then it’s a full on fraud and I lose all my investment
I don’t think that’s the case which is why I still have the bet on in a size that would hurt if it zeroed
@TTProcess1@junglejava1 The black market is actually evidence of this cost advantage to me
If drug runners can make legit money moving weed coast to coast that’s $GLAS profit in an interstate commerce future.
Today this might be helping volumes but I doubt it’s in the $GLAS numbers otherwise
@TTProcess1@junglejava1 Even Mitt Romney in the midst of a presidential candidacy accidentally had undocumented workers on his properties due to outsourcing to a 3rd party
End of the day, that was a short term blip and $GLAS is still a scale grower with some of the lowest costs of production globally
@TTProcess1@junglejava1 Sixers based investing account to Sixers based investing account - what proportion of agriculture companies do you think could have an ICE raid and be found with a 100% American workforce?
The fact it was an independent contractor and they’ve worked to fix it is enough for me
First large options trade in the name is a seller of 2900 Nov 12.5 calls collecting $1.00
A pretty standard overwrite, but I’d personally be looking at much higher strikes. They clearly believe today’s ATM will be tapped on a rally
@Mr_Neutral_Man 100%
The estimates I saw were $0.10 - $0.15 per watt at Chinese price points. Feels like something that changes standards of living around the world even if the visible impact for an American is near nil
Stream of consciousness research with Gemini
Why does the wildfire smoke come from Canada instead of Colorado where the fires are bigger
Peat moss fires throw off more smoke and there’s winds carrying the heavier smoke to us
@Mr_Neutral_Man So I’m glad that learning about the dynamics of the fires led me to thinking about carbon management similar to the Dutch management of water
Unfortunately didn’t throw off a screaming opportunity. Do think there will be secondary effects to v cheap solar arrays in the 3rd 🌎
@Mr_Neutral_Man Battery storage/grid arbitrage was one interesting sector but that’s all London listed REITs.
Another was solar installations but that’s a lot more of story of Chinese panels being installed in developing countries
Views from train engineers near Armstrong, Ontario, Canada, as wildfires continue to push across the province.
Multiple fires have ran 20+ miles in the last 24 hours, and others have crossed the international border from Minnesota into Canada.
Windmill power -> big timber/samill industry leading-> excess wood & paper capacity -> big shipbuilding industry -> tailwind for the Dutch East India trading company
Also I didn’t realize how much the windmills were used to pump out water in the Netherlands
Main windmill I went to see was used to grind up chalk and volcanic rock to make mortar that would set under water.
A lot of the green power generation names are still crushing it on AI demand
If that pops, I want to be ready with understanding more of the names. Carbon capture could once again be a big power user.
Survival of the fittest becomes a lot more visible in times of scarcity
The companies still profiting growing and expanding are probably a good hunting ground right now
