President Donald Trump said he could be Israel's next prime minister.

Speaking to reporters ahead of the United States Coast Guard Academy graduation on Wednesday, May 20, the president said he "could run for prime minister" in Israel and that he is extraordinarily popular there.

It was not clear what poll Trump was referring to, and the White House did not immediately respond to USA TODAY's request for comment.
