@lindacohn@SportsCenter@KirkHerbstreit “BEST 12 is subjective. How you want to figure that out is up to you.”
Such as ‘win the games you’re scheduled to play’? So much more arbitrary than ‘sum of contrived value pundits & shills assign to your wins and others’ losses + result of imagined game vs. said others’…
I'm old enough to remember Oregon 59, Florida State 20; Alabama 38, Michigan State 0; Clemson 31, Ohio State 0; Clemson 30, Notre Dame 3; LSU 63, Oklahoma 28. Those were playoff semis, with brand names getting smoked. Don't act like is the first time we've seen playoff blowouts.
The last two at-large teams into the bracket got beat? Maybe this just means there weren’t actually 12 teams capable of winning a national title this season? Sometimes it’s that simple.
Still doesn’t mean these teams didn’t deserve to play it out on the field.
In my mind, the greatest wide receiver in college football history and second greatest OSU player of all-time behind Barry.
He dominated games in ways that defy his position. Almost like an Adrian Peterson playing wideout, with the ball skills of Randy Moss.
Congrats, 81.
@Big12Pokes His team-D track record suggests: plan to give up big yards in the middle of the field; need to recruit stellar LBs & Ss; and pair with a 27-32 ppg offense. Gut says, “Great hire in 2010.” Don’t like concerns that recruiting is a minus. We’ll see…may just depend on OC hire.
Basing postseason selection off of hypothetical future performance in a completely different league is probably the most unhinged playoff take ever suggested on this app.
