Today marks my 20 years at Gearbox Software and two decades in the industry. I got my start here and itโs become like a second home. Iโm incredibly grateful for this time and look forward to all the things we have yet to accomplish!
Almost time for the biggest reunion of the century, darn tootin'!!!! ๐ง
You can access Story Pack 1 by picking up the new quest in Zadra's Lab in the Fadefields.
...or start fresh as C4SH, right from the main menu!
Eli gives an update to the work we're doing on performance and optimizations. We also have a breakdown of performance improvements here - https://t.co/35Z6sn5XIP
Hey Vault Hunters!
Alongside developing new content for Borderlands 4, our team has been improving performance and optimization.
In today's DevCast, we share an update with you about the specific work done under the hood since launch.

@EdgyMoon5 Most performance and optimization work is platform agnostic; while we didn't go into specifics on console, our work on lower spec PCs have improved consoles post launch as well. This update focuses on PC numbers, but consoles are a big part of our conversations internally.
Try your luck ๐

@ShadowRush2112@Y0urOn1yFreND@grantkao Keep in mind, bosses may take as few as just a couple seconds compared to the time investment of a contract. In a world where you can quickly respawn a boss with Moxxi's Encore machine, we need to look at XP differently compared to the previous games.
It's time for a cap increase, surprise surprise ;) We built our skill trees from the jump for big increases like this compared to BL3. With the revised drop rates that @grantkao got in a few weeks ago, the grind shouldn't be too bad! Can't wait to see the new builds!
@mcshootydotjpeg@grantkao In this patch we're introducing a failsafe to make sure infamy scaling doesn't get out of hand. You should still anticipate difficult areas as you complete content, but excessive difficulty spikes should be softened going forward.
@TylerBizzari@grantkao We definitely see some opportunities in the existing Classmods. That said, we're also introducing a new set next week we're anxious to get out to people. So we're going to let the meta shift a bit first, but then we'll act.
@TylerBizzari@grantkao We're taking another look at the VHs and some underperforming Classmods. That said, we want to see how the meta shifts for characters relative to the additional skill points first. Still, should anticipate some more balance changes after the major patch to bolster where needed.
@Byrdman@Aertyr@grantkao It was a design choice. It started with Sleight of Hand, being able to use augments to "add" different cards to your deck, then different totems in Cleromancy, and then different abilities while in Cross-fire. You can basically min/max your deck/dice/CF based on slotted augments.
