Was able to get it running but like I thought, getting a consistent 60FPS on my PC isn't looking good. Wouldn't be comfortable playing online. Hard to get a feel for game speed and tempo when floating anywhere between 45-55FPS
Don't think Marvel Tokon will run properly on my PC given all I've heard but I don't even get the chance to get to that point. A worse start than I thought...
2026 Game #10: Zelda: The Minish Cap
Enjoyed this a ton! Felt good to play a classic style Zelda again after BotW/TotK being my last 2 games in the series. Fun that the Triforce isn't a part of things here even if that doesn't actually change much
2026 Game #9: Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins
Finding the best use of the emulation handheld is short things I can pick up and play for 5 minutes here and there. This was a perfect fit! Way more advanced than my memories of the first Mario Land. Weird levels but quite fun
2026 Game #8: Mario Kart World
Hit credits so I'll say I've "finished" but will keep playing to unlock stuff. Many thoughts, originally negative but enjoyed it the more I played. Wish open world gave me a reason to care, and SP modes didn't make me want to learn wall riding
2026 Game #7: Diablo IV
Couldn't say no for $10 for the base game, but without the expansions I don't have any desire to keep playing. Whirlwind Barbarian still the classic. Expansions maybe if I ever upgrade this PC, it did struggle a bit...
2026 Game #6: Sonic Advance 2
Wanted something quick as a break. Came out with the first 2D Sonic game I did not enjoy! Didn't expect it, but I really don't like the "running" style of boss and the final level being a gauntlet of all of them... ew
2026 Game #5: God of War Ragnarök + Valhalla DLC
Really enjoyed this as a strong wrap up to the character of Kratos, went some nice directions. A shame the actual Ragnarök part was very quick and a bit underwhelming...
@AtJamz Yeah that's my struggle. I want to try them all out and the rental fighter tickets are good for that... but to get them you have to have been playing the game. So I'm stuck :(
Have been feeling like getting back into a fighting game recently, then looked and saw it would cost me $70 for up to date GG Strive DLC or $90 for the same in SF6. I know I don't NEED the characters but good lord that's a lot of money
