Congratulations to Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley on her re-election!

Her unwavering commitment to the people of MA-07 and her powerful voice in Congress are critical for holding corporations accountable.

We’re proud to stand alongside @AyannaPressley in this fight.

Studying in a swing state where your vote will matter so much more than it will where you are registered? Most students can vote in the state where they are studying. Live in PA, MI, NC, GA, Wisconsin? You have time to REGISTER and VOTE. Talk to your friends and classmates! RT.

@JZPhilosophy I’ve had some nice discussions with it and students didn’t seem to find it too bad to approach. It’s mostly before the Gen AI boom, but relevant nonetheless. https://t.co/OkLg3lKlyK
We’re generally working on thinking through antiBlackness in the AI dev process THiCC lab

PSU has a grad school open house (run through grad equity office 👀). Great opp for ppl looking at grad school and to make connections. I prob will be there to meet w/ prospective students (3rd/4th/5th years). Travel expenses covered (sept 16 deadline) - https://t.co/woJDGvRVSH

@UpFromTheCracks Calling her “radical” has been a repub attack point (we get a lot of ads in PA), but odd combination there if you’ve been paying attention

[Chris Dancy, THiCC PI @ProfDancy]

@willie_agnew Can be helpful, but the factors at play would be the search itself & the committee (both of which can tell you what might be salient to those making the initial decisions), as well as where the position is (dept/school/college). Even better to make impact clear in the statements

Folks interested should def apply to the STEM open house (by 16-Sept) to visit and find out more about PSU - https://t.co/woJDGvRVSH
This person would have an opp to potentially work on projs with Center for Black Digital Research (Liberatory Tech) and/or nsf funded AI-SDM.

For Fall 25 I have a (likely TA funded) slot open for an Ind Eng PhD student in “Human Factors”). I want someone who can think through cognitive processes and social structures (racialized) and computing (but you can have some but not all of
that then learn) . Please pass along

[Chris Dancy, THiCC PI @ProfDancy]

@UpFromTheCracks Yeah, it’s an interesting place to be most def. I never really did the whole pick up your whole life thing like ppl do and I’m lucky to be in one of those fields that pay you ok comparatively (and I was broke before…so didn’t know to ask for more…)
