@hankgreen When the light goes green, there's a propagating delay (an accruing error, if you will) while each individual agent decides what to do. WHY!?!?! Can't we just have linked agents that move all the cars at once? Crap, did I just re-invent the train?
@smartereveryday This is the site I put up on the projector when my CS students are taking exams. If there's a moment before the exam, they might get to hear me tell them how weird the time zones are in Arizona on the Hopi/Navajo reservations.
Do you know what would go great with this @SpaceX space suit? A SpaceX rocket! Hey @elonmusk, do you have a Falcon 9 you might be looking for a long-term parking spot for?
I wish I could read a book that doesn't exist (afaik). I want to read a full history of the US Space and Rocket Center. It's got such a storied but quiet history; the more I dig the more fascinating it gets. I imagine @davidhitt would be the perfect author.
I love all the folks complaining about Neil’s comment. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. I know plenty of smart people who hope that aliens are among us. Unfortunately, their evidence, while mysterious and worthy of curiosity, is not remotely compelling to jump to such a conclusion.
Not sure how you can look at this data, ostensibly be interested in either meritocracy or equality, and want to move away from standardized tests. It's the subjective measures that are most slanted in favor of the rich kids.

This table of Space Shuttle engines tracks their use across the shuttle fleet, up to STS-132, there are only a couple of engines that flew more than 15 times. SpaceX is starting to exceed this count with some of their engines.
Also, those center engines light 3 times in a flight.
@jonathansfrakes@Calgaryexpo @ToddStashwick Gates and Brent were fantastic at the Huntsville Comic and Pop Expo... would love to see you here next year!
For the price of a single retweet, you can help me spread the word about this superb book AND give yourself a chance to win it! Two gone! A few copies left to win!
RT the tweet below ⬇️ 👍🙌🙏🏼🎉
Bit of fun. ‘The Man from the Future’ has earned out its (not huge!) advance in the US. To celebrate, I’ll stick anyone who RTs this into a lottery for a paperback copy. Every 50 RTs, I’ll give away another book till they’re gone. All RTs stay in for subsequent rounds. T&Cs… 1/
@kennethwilsonuk The Hal account on twitter that retweets everything about 2001 retweeted you. Might want to check that hashtag, your the only person to ever use it :) (thought I was going cross-eyed).
@hankgreen I cherish the opportunity I've had to work with Complexly in the past, and I hope I get to work with that amazing bunch of humans in the future.
