Today @ProfGreenhalgh’s obituary appears in @TheLancet. He was lead author in this prestigious medical journal in 1971 on serum lipids + lipoproteins in arterial disease. He last published in 2016 with the 15-year follow up of the EVAR trials. https://t.co/USTRCrG5Iq
Just cleared my father’s office at #CharingCross Hospital. Here is a picture of the Drewe lecture theatre where his @CXSymposium began in 1978 which has grown from 100s to 4000+ from 80+ countries pre #Covid19. We’ll get there again with our bold move to @EXCEL.
#CX2024 kicks off with the final resolution of the #Paclitaxel controversy with latest updates from the regulators. Then there is a comparison of the relative safety + efficacy of #Limus vs #Paclitaxel in the fempop segment. #CXVascular @VascularNews
The funeral of my father, @ProfGreenhalgh, is later this week. The words that Timothy ascribed to Paul, as he approached death, spring to mind: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith….”
Lovely to listen to @ProfGreenhalgh’s storytelling in this podcast. Coincidentally, @TelegraphObits have printed his obituary today. I’ll be buying more than one @Telegraph copy which should distract me from the front page by-election news. https://t.co/JFmCLnYZOM
My father @ProfGreenhalgh was the chief assistant to #Prof Gerry Taylor at Bart’s in the early 70s. He had some great years working there whilst honing his surgical skills. 👇
