The team was warmly welcomed by our Senior Management Team led by Dr. Cissy Kityo. Kelly serves as the Mycobacteriology Development Lead and focal point for laboratory engagements and collaborations, strengthening partnerships, knowledge exchange, and ongoing efforts in tuberculosis research, diagnostics, and laboratory capacity development at JCRC.

Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation @DrMusenero reaffirmed @GovUganda commitment to the establishment of the Bone Marrow Transplant Centre at the Joint Clinical Research Centre.

Speaking in her dual capacity as Minister and National Sickle Cell Ambassador, she noted that discussions are ongoing for a substantial government allocation in the next financial year, emphasizing that the project has full government attention and will be supported.

In a personal show of commitment, she pledged $1,000 toward the initiative, describing the cause as both deeply personal and nationally important.
