Today, we announced a defining investment in Battleship New Jersey’s future.
The Battleship has been awarded $24.25 million through the New Jersey Economic Development Authority’s Cultural Arts Facilities Expansion (CAFE) Program. This is the largest capital investment in the ship since she opened as a museum and memorial in 2001.
The project will deliver a new landside visitor center nearly twice the size of our current facility, expanded parking, a new event space, and critical improvements aboard the ship.
We are deeply grateful to the State of New Jersey, the NJEDA, and Camden County for making this possible.
This investment will help us build the campus the Battleship deserves—one worthy of her history, her mission, and the generations who will walk her decks in the years ahead.

Michigan is the breakfast food capital of the world because of companies like Kellogg's and Post in Battle Creek. Pop Tarts were created here. See: https://t.co/grMi0bBref (link) and https://t.co/qWBkNgEr6u (link).

This is the first legal marriage to take place in Kentucky.
Hopkins isn't liked by everyone, there's no arguing that, especially since he chose to go to the Bahamas instead of Virginia. Adams is a very fair-minded lawyer, however, even defending the redcoats involved in the Boston Massacre to prevent injustice. Adams wouldn't defend Hopkins if he didn't believe in his innocence and his value to the Continental Navy. There's a young Scotsman named John Paul Jones who has just been made captain a few days ago, we'll see if he has more success against the British than Hopkins.
@gaelfan2000@250YearsAgoLive I didn't say Adams was successful. Just sharing the sources if anyone's interested in going through them. Have a great day.
MacArthur was very popular with the American public. This 1942 biographical magazine was published just after his escape from the Philippines. Gen. Jonathan Wainwright, who I think is one of the bravest people in the entire war, may have already surrendered by the time it was being sold. While the public knew of the surrender, the atrocities of the Bataan Death March weren't revealed until 1944.
