@AlgonquinPJ @amyforsandiego In CA, they check requirements & ID when you register & then your signature is checked (matched with reg) when you vote. The idea is that ID requirements can be a slippery slope in terms of what a specific poll worker might ask from a voter. Example, not everyone has a DL.

@amyforsandiego This is a false equivalency. Costco is like a country club in that it is a membership club for which members pay an annual fee. Thus, you are asked for ID when you enter to make sure you are a paying member. We don't expect people to pay in order to vote, nor should we.
