Very happy that our work on three-wave mixing in an ENZ material without phase matching was accepted for publication. We coupled light into a thin film propagating mode and saw cascaded nonlinear interactions with CW lasers. Check it out! https://t.co/F2LSDWS5Ok
We have a preprint up on three-wave mixing in an ENZ material without phase matching! My undergraduate student Kyle Wynne led this effort and will be presenting this work tomorrow (Jan. 30) at #PhotonicsWest. Go see his talk at 3:10pm in room 210! https://t.co/ZQZ7M3j67T
Very proud of my student Max who gave a great talk at Chapman’s student scholar symposium this afternoon. He and the other student working on this project (also Max) have done great work and I hope to share more of their results soon.

If you are interested in working with me, please send me a message or an email!
New preprint from my lab! Not as exciting as other recent preprints, but I’m proud of the undergrad, Michael, who led this work. https://t.co/NWM5wVbdlM
We are once again hiring at Chapman! I have had a great experience at Chapman and would be happy to share my thoughts with you if you are curious about what it’s like.
Come join us as we continue to build our engineering school!

I'm going to be at Frontiers in Optics in Tacoma starting tomorrow! My undergraduate student Kyle is presenting a poster tomorrow afternoon on some cool work with optical nonlinearities in ITO. Hoping to see some familiar faces and maybe meet some new photonics folks!

Our work on exploring the use of inverse design for plasmonic devices with some unique requirements is finally out! I'm very proud of all the students who worked on this paper with me and their perseverance in seeing it through the revisions process. https://t.co/lAdiNATfoB
I’ve been waiting for about an hour for the crowd to die down around my student’s poster so I could take this photo. Enjoying the feeling of seeing my student share our work with many interested people. #PhotonicsWest2023
Very excited (and honestly mostly just relieved) that the first publication from my research group was accepted with minor revisions! It’s been a long journey to get this paper published, and although we have a little more work to do, the end is in sight.
Chapman's GCI Postdoc Fellowship is a great opportunity and applications are open! This position mixes in teaching training along with the research training that is typically part of a #postdoc. If you are interested in working with me, please reach out! https://t.co/HmKivfOCJH
