I like to talk to strangers about the way they think. It helps me to understand the way my own brain works. I may be considered “neuro-atypical” (though I’ve never been diagnosed, nor cared to be), and I just like to ask questions to better understand humans. Is that cool?
@hemantmehta I feel for any staffer who wants to buck the corporate culture. What sort of repercussions/retaliation might they see if they don’t go to the event (or go and wear a mask). What protects conscientious employees against that sort of thing?
@hemantmehta Always appreciate your thoughts, Hemant. It’s definitely disconcerting to think of *why* certain people might so vehemently support this US President.. in Canada. The overlap in religious communities and His supporters is vexing as well.
Can we take beliefs about equality among various cultural identities to an extreme level.. can we take it too far? What does that look like? I don’t know. It’s a new line of inquiry for me.
How do you talk to your kiddos about death?
I saw a post on social lately from a friend (and not just the one), whose kiddo was perhaps expressing some anxiety over death.. asking questions about how long their parents might be with them. #parenting#death
@magnabosco Absolutely.. good days and bad.. strikes and gutters. Same as always, in a way.. just a different hole to get stuck in. But we can always try to help dig each other out. Right?
I almost always lean toward disbelief. I consider myself a skeptic. I assume that any significant claim I hear is false, until I see good compelling evidence that it’s true.
Is that fair?
