@MadelaineLucyH I was working full time, had some savings, good credit rating, and applied for a car loan. It was declined because I wasnโt married. My parents had to go guarantor. That was the mid 1990s in Australia! This crap is way more recent than the 1970s.

@CovidSolidarit1@elisaperego78@1goodtern My parents and I. I mask at the gym, on airplanes, when shopping and at medical settings. I only dine outdoors with friends and only if there is space between tables and good airflow. I will continue to take reasonable precautions to avoid Covid.
@YouAreLobbyLud@CO2RadicalAus I like โgreenโ readings but alas I didnโt have it on a recent Qantas flight from Port Macquarie to Sydney! I was the only one masked (P2 with headband). Better reading in Sydney airport waiting for next flight.
@drajm Plus me. I go to the gym, shop and all appointments in P2 mask, did an international trip in P2 mask, only eat outdoors with space between tables. I bought a hepa filter for my office at work. Not only have I avoided Covid, but Iโve not had any illness since the pandemic started.
@docbenh Couldnโt agree more! The aftermath on the day and during the next week of three attempts by an anaesthetist. Started at my wrist and ended at my elbow. ๐คฌ
@eagerrealist When asked when I will stop masking, I say thereโs no end date; the science will tell me when/if I stop. Iโm very comfortable with my decision to protect my health and that of my parents and community. It saddens me to see how few mask now, but Iโm only in control of what I do.
@katea76 Yes to all. Life has changed and masks are a central part of my life now. Iโm taking reasonable measures to reduce my chances of contracting COVID. Itโs about my short and long term health and that of my parents and all who live in my community.

@TeacherMelb Eating outside is one of my non-negotiables. Tables need to have some distance in between or the venue is off the list. Plastic blinds down for the wind/cold means itโs off the list. My health and that of my parents comes first.
@CatDocMD I had a client in turmoil bc she didnโt want reconstructive surgery following a double mastectomy but her husband said heโd leave her if she didnโt. She had no financial independence, no driverโs license etc. She chose the surgery. Such power and control.
@BlueDotRedStat3 My parents and I! We minimise time indoors and wear N95 masks when we need to be in public spaces (eg supermarket, medical appointments). Only eat at a cafe outdoors. No longer go to cinemas etc. We are keen to avoid Covid for as long as possible.
