@joshtpm I offer this plan to save America, contingent on a Dem WH/Sen/HoR in Jan. Admit PR/DC, BUT also admit (or threaten to) partitioned large blue states (6 Californias, etc.)--enough to create shock and awe (maybe a net of 20 safe Dem seats) and force a Constitutional Convention.
@ijbailey The truth of this is almost entirely obscured by the decision to arbitrarily award extra points for shots taken far from the defense--presumably as a jobs program for shorter people.
@AlanJayy23@MountaineerLee Can you find a single thing beyond (basic) counting stats that CC beats OM at? WAR, Win Shares, Net Points, etc. all point to OM having a slightly better season. I think they probably should have finished like 6th and 8th in the MVP tally though.
@MattZeitlin I'm less familiar with OR, but my sense is that those are very different situations. The MN story has very little to do with governance, and a lot to do with bad faith "fraud" hyperventilating (and perhaps some candidate weakness).
@roringthunder That's more or less exactly what you'd expect if gender was a significant factor?? A liberal audience would be predisposed toward the woman candidate. I promise they liked Clinton's performance the first time around, so their switching is much closer to proof than refutation.
@Barkley_Tap If you want to say the 1980s Broncos didn't have great offensive players outside of Elway, sure, but you can't be on this list if Terrell Davis drags you to to your most notable victories when you're on your way out to pasture.
@dilanesper Of course, abortion is largely the same thing. Women (and of course only women) need to be forced to carry unwanted pregnancies as punishment for sluttery. That's what it's always boiled down to.
@dilanesper Opposition to the HPV vaccine really radicalized me on these "moral" issues, including abortion. I was very much a safe/legal/rare type, but when I saw the right was willing to sacrifice (mostly) women's lives to protect their "moral' stick, it opened my eyes.
@HawkeyeMikeB Whether it's a foul or not (it is), is DEFINITELY not a travel. She continues her dribble to the floor. If they don't call a foul, the Aces retain possession.
@mattyglesias I feel like earlier today you were chastising climate activists for rejecting all politically feasible ideas. Now your suggested solution is...comically politically unfeasible.
@mattyglesias If we had full access to their solution process to see where students are failing the ribbon problem, I'd bet it's at the conceptual stage and not at the perform-division-algorithm stage.
@mattyglesias The ribbon question is NOT solvable by "drill and kill". It's just not. You have to understand division conceptually, which is precisely the part that "drill and kill" elides/deemphasizes.
