In the smoking ruins of what used to be a fairly useful website to learn about new books, meet fun designers, educators and/or engineers, & publicize good research stands @blprnt with an unexpected bright spot: The Bird World Cup!!!!
Started reading #TheWorldWeMake today by @nkjemisin on @audible_com & A) the language and insight are sooooo sharp & good and B) @rmilesvox is, yet again, AMAZING. I’m only just out of the prologue, but I’m willing to say y’all should go buy this book!
Positives of Twitter:
- met Makers, ChemEs, Apple Distinguished Educators, KEEN folks & other engineering education advocates (& learned good stuff!)
- found great books to read and heard about them direct from their authors.
- had fun ex: #crayonbracket
- saw breaking news
Shout out to @BucknellSBDC Director @stumbris for his outstanding debut as moderator of @WVIATVFM's "Keystone Edition Business" program. You are a natural on TV Steve. Nice job! https://t.co/RgW0bUjL9E
@skcarter@amptMN I just finished reading You’ve Been Played by @adrianhon & it has some excellent contrasting examples of hood, bad, and downright *evil* gamification & game design. I recommend it!
@danteshepherd @ddburkey “Ah I, just as I suspected, these are BOOTLEG copies of CEE that have been printed without the PEER REVIEW PROCESS”
