🚨 DRIVING WHILE BLACK: Cop climbs into car and beats Black driver for asking to speak to a supervisor.
Craig Manning says he was racially targeted during a traffic stop.
He made a LEGAL left turn, got pulled over, and asked to speak to a supervisor before handing over his license or exiting the vehicle.
Dashcam footage shows an officer climbing into his car and punching him several times in the face and head. He was charged with traffic violations and resisting arrest.
He’s now planning to sue Suffolk County Police and the officers.
His attorneys say it was because he’s Black and note he had the camera installed out of fear of “driving while Black.”
Another case of police using fists on a Black driver who simply wanted basic rights.
How many more Black men have to get beaten on camera before these cops face real consequences?
That Democrats picked Graham Platner to run tells you how little they care about women or racial/ethnic minorities. Had there been indications of fuzziness on Dems’ trans issues or gay rights, he would not have been selected. But those in charge of the selection process could not bother to find the obvious evidence of problems re women and racial/ethic minorities. Moreover, it is my view that neither women nor racial/ethnic minorities have advanced as a group under Dem minority or majority governance. Dems cannot, therefore, argue that they are better than Republicans on these issues. Indeed, while they point to the GOP, Dems helped torpedo Abortion rights, Affirmative Action, the Voting Rights Act, pregnancy protections, and womens’ safety rules
@SenTedCruz@RonWyden Not sure a law that primarily protects big corporate/Tech speech but leaves out others who also could be targeted by government (and who might be able to counter that corporate/tech speech as false) is a good idea. The law is already clear that such government acts are illegal.
The Grio does not speak for Black people—whoever it thinks those are. It regularly comes out with these statements attempting to encapsulate the views of Black people on one or more issues while ignoring that Black people actually may have widely diverse opinions. They inject race ad a key issue into questions that Black people may not see as centrally involving race—although there are issues that do involve race more centrally. The Grio plays this role so often that it seems to be an editorial strategy.
The reaction to a potential Karen Bass-Spencer Pratt runoff isn’t just about politics.
For many Black voters, it’s raising questions about race, qualifications and leadership in America. Read more #OnTheGrio: https://t.co/jadcQsAG4T
I have not yet read the full trial transcript. But so far, I do know this. Karmelo Anthony was entitled to a jury of his peers. He did not get that. On that ground alone, he is entitled to a new trial. Minorities are not interchangeable. The prosecutor’s reported proffered reasons for striking all black jurors —that they were teachers—appears to be pretext. Anthony needs a new lawyer on appeal and in a new trial. His trial lawyer allowed in opinion evidence that should have been struck. He also seemed unable to appreciate and counter the impact of racial overtones in that case. Those overtones are clear even on Twitter commentary as folks seek to paint Metcalf as having no culpability in what happened and Karmelo as a complete monster. The facts on how the matter escalated are more complicated than that. He and they had no such authority. They are also apparent in the statements that seek to deputize Metcalf and other kids with authority to remove Anthony. They had none and initiated the conflict. That does not mean they should have been killed but it means they have explaining to do. The lawyer for Anthony apparently did not require that explaining. It is fair to ask how the Anthony’s ended up selecting that lawyer.
The trial judge must be disqualified in any new trial if he actually gave an interview about the case before the appeal was considered. He has negatively affected the appeal rights of the defendant. He should know better. He should also be disqualified if he has any relationship with the Metcalf side.
In a criminal trial, the prosecution has the burden of proof beyond a reasonable doubt. The defendant does not have to prove he is not guilty. Those rules apply to everyone. They apply to Anthony.

You should also that the very approach of allowing biological trans men to compete against women also violates equal protection. Lower courta may rule differently but the Supreme Court will rule in your favor. The left is trying to delay access to the court until another election where they hope to replace justices who favor your position on sports. There is also an equal protection claim re preventing all biological males from competing and also possibly re use of hormones/drugs.
The Equal Protection claim exists not merely because of the mandatory reporting requirement but also because She (and other girls) were not granted the same protection as the person assaulting her or as trans athletes participating in womens sports. The rule is keep
quiet. That offense would exist whether or not there was mandatory reporting. https://t.co/lg16RqN2bn
Gallup’s decision to pose this question a “moral” one seems to reveal its own bias—as if morality must be the primary basis for objection and not science or a preference for a gov’t policy allocating benefits based on sex and not gender id.
BREAKING: Moral acceptance of changing one’s gender hits new low according to a new Gallup Poll
38% say it’s morally acceptable while 57% say it’s morally wrong.
