While scooping a spoonful of balatong/munggo during lunch time, my white coworkers asked me, "What do you have for lunch? It smells good."
"I have munggo... I mean mung beans with beef," I replied and was surprised that balatong seasoned with bagoong smells good to them. Lol!
One thing I like here working here in the US is that you can be assertive and frank even towards the leadership and they won't take it personally most of the time. If you speak up in the Ph, I'm pretty sure your boss will take that against you and would even feel offended by it.
Naalala ko na naman yung co-worker ko na narinig yung pag-summarize ko ng Twilight tungkol sa "Vegetarian Vampires." This was circa 2008. Tapos kwinento niya sa iba na nabasa niya yung librong yun at yung mga bampira daw ay kumakain ng literal na gulay. Lol!
One of the best things of doing groceries at Sam's Club is Scan & Go. Just scan the barcode of your items and pay it on the app and you're good to go! We're skipping the lines and saving time! Adulting has never been this good lol!
Drained today by doing my job with my patients and training new nurses. Told this to my older coworker and she advised me, "After work, vodka's your friend." Lol!
Please use Grammarly if you can't construct proper English in front of collegiate students. Some grammar-conscious students are laughing at you and you just don't know it.
Doing overtime here in the US is easy-peasy for me and I get great compensation for it. I'm used to doing it at my first job and they paid me P80 per/hour for it like damn I deserved more than that and they would even take cuts from my salary like what the frickin' heck right?!
@ChronoGam3r Monster Hunter. I tried the ones on the PSP and couldn't get the hang of it. I tried playing Monster Hunter World years later, only to feel the same thing.
