@MmeCarbonneau We were warned about cuts to Ed funding under this administration. A lot of systems are planning to make do with what they have instead of hire new, esp in areas unpopular with repubs like ESOL, WL, student support services, etc.
@heymrsbond All those shows where the character asked a question and just stared blankly waiting.... So many times I feel like Dora just waiting and then answering my own questions....
Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger returns $8,417.15 in donations and in-kind contributions he received from First Liberty, the GOP-connected lender accused of a $140M Ponzi scheme. Raffensperger is the first senior GOP official to urge candidates to return the donations.
Dear MAGA,
Can one of you pro-life Christians explain to the class how it’s “efficient” to incinerate 500 metric tons of food that is ready and paid for?
That amount of food could have fed at least 1.5 million children for a week.
Make it make sense.
@ABC As long as schools are held accountable for student outcomes instead of parents, schools deserve a level of autonomy in how they teach. Remember, schools employ professionals with advanced degrees and rigorous evaluations and testing.
The shift in my twitter feed is increasingly apparent. Not only have I lost many of the sources I followed in the Elon Exodus, the algorithm shows me many more far-right posts and comments than I've ever seen here.
The behavior of uniformed soldiers booing and catcalling at Fort Bragg on June 10, 2025, is highly unusual in U.S. history. Department of Defense Directive 1344.10 prohibits active-duty personnel from partisan political acts in uniform, making such public displays rare and a breach of norms. Historical U.S. military dissent, like Ehren Watada's case, typically involves internal opposition, not public political reactions. In Latin America, militaries often engage in politics through coups or formal roles, but public booing by rank-and-file soldiers is not commonly documented. This incident appears unprecedented in both regions, raising concerns about military politicizationThe behavior of uniformed soldiers booing and catcalling at Fort Bragg on June 10, 2025, is highly unusual in U.S. history. As a student of History and observer of people, a lot of you seem to only view violence in the physical form. That way of thinking is dangerous. It allows you to forget poverty is violence. That denying you healthcare is violence. That polluting your water and air is violence.
The Obama administration deported over 3.16 million people. Biden’s passed 4.44 million. Not once did either need troops in the streets to do it. That’s all you need to know about what’s happening.
@AP But also you have to work to qualify for benefits... So this means broke without healthcare or safety net... Republican plan winning for Americans?
@noob08050@TalbertSwan Did you kiss someone of the opposite gender on the playground? Did you have a "boyfriend/girlfriend" in elementary school? You most definitely already knew/decided your gender.
Get this: Trump‘s “big beautiful bill” lowers the age of a “dependent child“ from 18 years old to seven years old.
That means assistance programs designed to help children will no longer include 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13…year olds.
So, a 7 year old in the 1st grade is not a dependent child?
These people are SICK!
@smokinscientist@VictoriaTheTech Plot twist: husband paid for the trip and she's getting his money's worth before she files. Atty is working on the paperwork while she's playing on his dime! She didn't say anything bc she's about to BURN. IT. DOWN.
