For our HS in-service next week we're focusing on building students' "academic vocabulary". In a language class, would you consider the academic vocabulary to be the target language chunks for the current unit, or linguistic terms like pronoun, noun, verb (in L1 or L2)? #langchat

I've been really liking using the Classroom-generated Google Calendars for calendar talk this year. I ask ss about upcoming events and add them to the calendar and Google illustrates them with a picture! All in the TL, starting the week with lunes, and 24h clock for times.
