Beginning the morning with prayer and a message from Pope Francis: "You all, biblical scholars and makers of theology, are Hispanic Theologians of the United States who do not forget your roots. For this reason, you can make theology with your heads, your hearts, and your hands."

@_monicarey_ I like to scaffold assignments like a final prez: (1) proposal; (2) reference list; (3) outline; (4) draft prez. Builds confidence & provides feedback (but more work for me)
@_monicarey_ Could the final presentation take the place of the final paper? In my experience, while a final paper has an intended audience of one (at most), a final presentation (with an audience of however many are in the class) calls for more real-life fluency with the topic.
