@mollwile@RaidAway I met Rich at Atlanta Regionals for a few moments (he came over to the booth I was working at and bought a Plusle plushie). I told him I was a fan of his videos and he was super nice about it. Just a really nice, down to Earth guy. Definitely deserves all the support.
@azulgg Having an issue with open deck lists would be the equivalent of playing a tournament game of chess and being upset that you can’t surprise your opponent with the secret rook you kept in your pocket.
@azulgg I strongly disagree with this take. I don’t believe it lowers the ceiling, rather it raises the floor. The truly skilled top players will still outshine the field regardless. This only eliminates surprise techs and makes the game more skill-based, like chess.
@gearhartpkmn@flexiimusic @NucciTCG No, the delay (in chess, usually 5-10 seconds) applies every time the clock is hit, so it would apply every turn. I’m happy to help answer any chess clock questions you have, though. I used to play chess competitively, taught it for years, and have two decades of experience :)
@hgssprime I think the problem with that is that anyone can lie about intent. Even if he meant the bad motion, why wouldn’t he just lie and say it’s a dice roll? It’s on stream of a kids’ game. I think perception overrules intent in that case, because it’s impossible to know real intent.
@hgssprime I saw the Bradner one. It looks completely different. Elevated. In the air, like a fist pump. Ian leaned back in his chair, had that smirk, and did the motion clearly extending from his pelvic area. To me, it was clear as day what the motion was.
@hgssprime We’ll just have to disagree on this one. I watched it a few times. The motion, the smirk on his face, it doesn’t look like a dice roll motion at all. The dice roll thing feels like a reach to me. He might be a good dude, I don’t know him. But, it was a stupid thing to do.
@teechoppa1@ElizaSheetposts That wasn’t a dice rolling motion. Look at his face. You can’t be that dense. I don’t know the guy. He might be a good dude. What he did was stupid, and I’m sure even he would acknowledge that at this point.
@hgssprime I did. I don’t blame them. I watched the debate and it was awful. The thing is, Trump is extremely beatable. He looked bad also. We just need someone with a pulse.
@hgssprime I’m still salty that in 2013 I was one round short of getting my invite at the LCQ lol in the last round, I went up against Plasma (I was playing Darkrai/Hammers) which should’ve been an auto-win. Sableye got donked two games in a row on T1 gg
